November 2017 saw a horrific massacre perpetrated by Muslim terrorists against Sufis in Al Rawdha Mosque in Egypt’s Sinai; this resulted in the death of over three hundred and the injury of over one hundred peaceful worshippers. The attack was not an isolated incident, but rather one of a long series of attacks by Muslim terrorists against Sufis.

At the risk of making sweeping statements, many Nigerians will agree that the healthcare system in Nigeria is moribund, not fit for purpose and tantamount to events in the Animal Farm narrative. Scores of Nigerians die incessantly from preventable, treatable diseases while political leaders and affluent Nigerians embark on ‘’medical tourism’’ to treat mundane health challenges that can be treated in Nigeria. It is safe to conclude that these well-off Nigerians have no iota of confidence in Nigeria’s healthcare system and medical professionals. The quest for greener pastures and improved wellbeing is the reason scores of Nigerian are traded as slaves in Libya. It accounts for why 26 Nigerian girls perished in the Mediterranean Sea en route Europe recently. It is profoundly hypocritical hearing privileged Nigerians in corridors of power press Nigerians in abroad to return to home whereas they journey abroad for quality medical treatment.

BUHARISM AND THE FIERCE URGENCY OF NOW

“It is now common knowledge that whenever Mallam Muhammadu Buhari holds sway at our national arena, he is usually brushed aside by more powerful and more intelligent people…”

SERIES: BUHARISM AND THE FIERCE URGENCY OF NOW

“Institutions are the weakest, where there is no country such as is currently the case with the lower and upper Niger – known simply in the pre-amalgamation era (before 1914) as THE NIGER AREA.”

Drivers of Instability, Agitations in Nigeria

Newton’s third law of motion says ‘’for every action, there’s an equal and opposite reaction’’. A groundbreaking study by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) titled, ‘’Journey to Extremism in Africa: Drivers, Incentives and the Tipping Point for Recruitment’’, published September 2017 reveals that ‘’Marginalization, perceived abuse of power is pushing Africa’s youth to violent extremism’’. Due to space and time constraint, I may not be able to fully expatiate how Buhari’s parochialism, ‘’northernization policy’’, inability to manage diversity and patent marginalization of Biafrans catalyzes, escalates the Biafra agitation. Cast your mind back to President Buhari’s 97% and 5% gambit and also reconcile it with his lopsided appointments, including the recent NNPC appointments. I will write on marginalization of Ndigbo in my subsequent treatise. Similar to the patent nepotism, marginalization, injustice as some of the drivers of recurring agitations in Nigeria, is also that of unprecedented youth unemployment currently bedeviling the country, especially parts of the southeast.

Yes, if there is a country, no matter how inebriated, stupid, irresponsible and deluded, no one citizen, or group of citizens or one of the federated ethnic nationalities, geo-political zones, after suffering brain wave or actual delusion of grandeur would wake up one morning, either severally or collectively and issue a quit notice to another citizen/s, group of citizens, a federated ethnic nationality or geo-political zone  - in this case, Ndigbo.

PART 1

SERIES: BUHARISM AND THE FIERCE URGENCY OF NOW

"The doctrine of Buhari is the golden rule in reverse; and it is jihad by some other name. And there are two ways to render his 97/5 Formula:
⦁    Treat others as you would not like to be treated.
⦁    Do not treat your neighbour as yourself.
On these rest their own jihad and the global jihad!"

Synopsis

This essay is a comprehensive analysis of issues surrounding the disputed proscription, categorization of IPOB as a terrorist organization and the military blitzkrieg codenamed - Operation Python Dance II (Egwu Eke) which was launched in southeast Nigeria on September 15, 2017 by the Nigerian military. As the military operation comes to an end today October 14, 2017, this essay argues that proscribing, censoring IPOB and using the military to rein in Biafra agitators, is tantamount to treating the symptom of an ‘ailment’ hence will not extinguish the recurring, fervent and resilient Biafra Spirit.

THE PREAMBLE

NIGERIA: FRAGILE HANDLE WITH CARE

My fellow Nigerians, if you have been wondering why a beautiful country is currently lying prostrate at the A & E Ward, with no doctors to attend to her; if you have been wondering why our Nigeria has been turned into a field of blood and reduced to a rubble; why everyhting is stagnated and nothing is working, with the tribal Government as presided over by Muhammadu Buhari and his Fulani ethnic nationality, having its foundation in the ideologies of Wahabism and Salafism, the double standard in administration/governance;

SERIES: CORRUPTION IN NIGERIA

THE NATIONAL BLUEPRINT FOR A BROAD-BASED DISSECTION OF AND STRATEGIES TO COMBAT CORRUPTION IN NIGERIA

About the Eneke-nti-oba called Muhammadu Buhari

Every time Muhammadu Buhari rode to power, he would often begin his so-called war against corruption without a plot, strategy and focus, acting in the manner of an effervescent, hurling every person perceived to be corrupt into detention, sometimes without trials, and sometimes, where tried, the tribunal set up by him would trivialise a very serious national matter by awarding those adjudged to have been found guilty, a prison term of between 300-500 years, with a caveat to run (kwenkwenrrently) concurrently; and Muhammadu Buhari, ending up becoming the most corrupt in human history, would encourage and promote the erection of a myth of saintliness, integrity and uprightness about his own persona.

Our Aims

  • To expose all levels of corruption in Nigeria, especially official corruption and by so doing ensure probity and accountability in every sphere of the Nigerian life.
  • To within the body politic stir up the spirit of nationalism amongst Nigerians aimed at pushing back the tides of ethnic chauvinism, tribal jingoism, religious bigotry, oligarchism, cronyism and nepotism.
