Embarrassing choices

…between a nation’s two most objectionable alternatives – Judas of Daura and Barabbas of Adamawa

PART 2

“The Generals have garrisoned every public space in Nigeria: the industrial-private sector; the civil service – public sector; the political-elective spaces; the cultural-diplomatic; the socio-psychological spaces; the ethical-moral; religio-spiritual; geo-agricultural, geo-political, etc, such that till date, Nigeria remains the world’s biggest/largest barracks/garrison/cantonment/brigade. Their children/wards, cronies, concubines in their teens and early twenties are already billionaires in pounds and dollars without working or sweating to earn these filthy lucre!”

PART TWO

THE PRESIDENT PERJURED!

“Be a model of valour by example and precept” – Lieutenant Colonel Lewis B. ‘Chesty’, Puller, 1942.

In Nigeria if you are a big man/woman, a traditional ruler and a person of means, you are automatically above the law. But if you are a common man/woman and you steal just a cube of sugar, Mi Lord will give you life to serve as a deterrent to others of your ilk.

Oath of Office of President

I, MUHAMMADU BUHARI.............. do solemnly swear/affirm that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to the Federal Republic of Nigeria; that as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I will discharge my duties to the best of my ability, faithfully and in accordance with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the law, and always in the interest of the sovereignty, integrity, solidarity, well-being and prosperity of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; that I will strive to preserve the Fundamental Objectives and Directive Principles of State Policy contained in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; that I will not allow my personal interest to influence my official conduct or my official decisions; that I will to the best of my ability preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; that I will abide by the Code of Conduct contained in the Fifth Schedule to the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; that in all circumstances, I will do right to all manner of people, according to law, without fear or favour, affection or ill-will; that I will not directly or indirectly communication or reveal to any person any matter which shall be brought under my consideration or shall become known to me as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, except as may be required for the due discharge of my duties as President; and that I will devote myself to the service and well-being of the people of Nigeria. So help me God.

We don’t have Buhari’s original certificates – Nigerian Army

The Nigerian Army said it did not have the original, certified true copy or statement of results of retired General Muhammadu Buhari, the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Candidate for the February general elections.

The Director of Army Public Relations, Olajide Laleye, said this while briefing journalists in Abuja on Tuesday.

Mr. Laleye said that the entry made on the Nigerian Army Form 199A at the point of documentation after Buhari was commissioned as an officer, indicated that the former Head of State obtained the West African School Certificate (WASC) in 1961.

“With credits in relevant subjects: English Language, Geography, History, Health Science, Hausa and a pass in English Literature.

“Neither the original copy, certified true copy (CTC) nor statement of result of Major-.Gen. Mohammadu Buhari‘s WASC result is in his personal file.

Mr. Laleye said the army holds the retired senior officer in high esteem and respect and would not be a party to any controversy surrounding his eligibility for any political office.

He said that suffice to state that Mr. Buhari rose steadily to the enviable rank of Major General before becoming the Head of State of the country in December 1983.

“The media hype on the retired Buhari’s credentials as well as numerous requests made by individuals and cooperate bodies to the Nigerian Army on this issue have necessitated that we provide the facts as contained in the retired senior officer’s service records.

“Records available indicate that Buhari applied to join the military as a form six student of the Provincial Secondary School, Katsina, on Oct. 18, 1961.

“His application was duly endorsed by the principal of the school, who also wrote a report on him and recommended him to be suitable for military commission.

“It is a practice in the Nigerian Army that before candidates are shortlisted for commissioning into the officers’ cadre of the service, the selection board verifies the original copies of credentials as presented.

“There is no available record to show that this process was followed in the 1960s,” Mr. Laleye said.

On the recent CNN report concerning issues of kitting, equipment, corruption and medical treatment, Mr. Laleye said there was no Army in the world where personnel did not purchase additional uniforms and kits to augment those officially assigned to them.

“Accordingly, the army has not failed to issue uniforms and kits to its personnel periodically.

“Like other armies, the Nigerian Army has over the years, established ordinance shops in all its barracks and cantonments where uniforms and kits are sold at subsidized prices to its personnel from allowances already provided in their pay slips.

“Similarly the Nigerian Army has a very functional healthcare delivery system in the country. It fully subscribes to the National Health Insurance scheme (NHIS) and this is functional in all its health facilities.

The army spokesperson said that the army had made undoubted operational gains in the North-East of recent, thereby rubbishing the claim that Boko Haram had out-gunned it.

He said that the CNN would do well if it beamed its searchlight on the atrocities of Boko Haram terrorists against the innocent and defenseless Nigerians, rather than the Nigerian Army.

Mr. Laleye said the army would remain focused on its mission to rid Nigeria of terrorism and insurgency.

To that end, he said, the army had commenced the implementation of the “extensive operational , administrative and logistical decisions’’ reached during the 2014 Chief of Army staff Annual Conference.

He said in no distant future, Nigerians would begin to see very positive results in terms of security, particularly in the North-East and the nation.

How I issued Buhari his WAEC certificate – Alex Ajayi

Published

On November 13, 2016

By

John Owen Nwachukwu

First graduate from Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, and campaign director to the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo during the 1976 Presidential election, 86-year-old Alex Ajayi said he issued President Muhammadu Buhari, Sani Abacha and Ibrahim Babangida their WAEC certificates.

Speaking with the Punch, he recalled how his hard work as the Principal of Fiditi Grammar School, Oyo State, at age 26 in 1956, where he produced the first set of students in 1959, gave him a job in the West African Examinations Council.

He said, “With that level of achievements, I joined the West African Examination Council as a pioneer staff.

“I was the first substantive Nigerian Assistant Registrar. I took over the control of the examination from the University of Cambridge.

I took examiners to Cambridge for training across 10 years and trained them in Nigeria.

“I had the opportunity of issuing WAEC certificates to three former Heads of State: Buhari, Abacha and Babangida in the 60s.

“When I was in WAEC, I was put on the council of the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) in 1966 by the national government of Aguiyi Ironsi.

“I was put on three important committees. The vice-chancellor and others were interested that I became a full staff of the university which I was not really keen about.

“But I finally accepted out of pressure. When I was serving on the council of the University of Ife, I was among the three-member committee selected by Chief Obafemi Awolowo as the first chancellor,” he said.

Cambridge University provides more details on Buhari’s WASC results

January 28, 2015

By Sani Tukur

“The University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate, UCLES, now Cambridge Assessment, has provided further details on the West African School Certificate, WASC, results presented by Muhammadu Buhari, the candidate of the All Progressives Candidate in the February 14 presidential election.

In a new post on its website, the university confirmed result grades for the examination in 1961 were issued in numbers, not letters, as suggested by critics of Mr. Buhari who have dismissed the results he presented as fabricated.

According to Cambridge, “Examination results were classed in grades from 1 to 9”.

“1, 2,3,4,5 & 6 indicate a Pass with Credit; 7 & 8 indicate a Pass; 9 indicate a Failure,” the school said.

Results tendered by Mr. Buhari shows he had credits in English Language, Geography, Health Science, Hausa Language; failed in Mathematics and Woodwork, and had a pass in Literature in English.

In its post, Cambridge said for candidates to qualify for its certificate in 1961, they needed to pass English, and not necessarily Mathematics.

“To pass the School Certificate, candidates had to pass examinations in a variety of groups. It was compulsory to pass English Language, but not Maths, in order to gain the Certificate,” the university said.

The details followed intense controversy over whether Mr. Buhari, a former Head of State and retired Army General, completed his secondary education.

The Nigerian constitution requires any candidate running for the office of the President to have at least the Senior Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent.

The ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and the campaign office of President Goodluck Jonathan accuse Mr. Buhari of lacking the requisite qualification for the office of the president.

Mr. Buhari, who ran for president in 2003, 2007 and 2011, repeatedly declared that copies of his academic records were with the military.

The former head of state also said original copies of his credentials were lost when his house was raided when he was in detention during the administration of Ibrahim Babangida who toppled his regime.

The Army at first said it had copies of Mr. Buhari’s results, but backtracked later, saying it had only a letter of recommendation from his principal at Katsina Provincial College, result grades without either the statement or certificate.

Responding, Mr. Buhari expressed surprise that the military could claim not to have his results, and insisted that he indeed completed high school and passed at Division Two level.

PREMIUM TIMES later exclusively published copies of Mr. Buhari’s WASC results as well as a master list containing the results of some of his classmates, obtained from his former secondary school, now Government College, Katsina.

But after the publication of the Statement of Results, some Nigerians, including President Jonathan and the PDP, dismissed the results as forged.

One of the allegations said Hausa language was not part of the Cambridge exams in 1961.

Another said Mr. Buhari’s results that year were recorded in alphabets, not in letters as Mr. Buhari claimed.

While Cambridge has declined to categorically confirm Mr. Buhari’s results, saying only the APC candidate could request or authorize such disclosure, the school posted a response to enquiries on the matter on their website authenticating some of the claims in Mr. Buhari’s result.

The University confirmed that according to the Regulations for 1961, African Language papers, including those for Hausa, were set for the West African School Certificate.

It also put the number of candidates who sat for the WASC Hausa examination in 1961 at 152.

“Our records show that Hausa was set in the Northern Region in 1961,” Cambridge said.

The university also confirmed result grades in 1961 were issued in numbers, not letters,

IPOOLA ALANI AKINRINADE: GALANTRY MIS-EXHIBITED, ‘BULLETS’ MIS-FIRED…HOW NOT TO EMBARK ON A BLIND ESPRIT DE CORP – LOYALTY TO FATHERLAND COMES FIRST, GENERAL

“Truth, Crushed to Earth Will Rise Again.” – William Cullen Bryant

Military personnel of the Nigerian armed forces, the para-military and their police counterparts are blessed with agbero (thuggery) mentality and jungle-like-lionised predatory instinct, hence they all from the other-ranks/officers and men to the topmost, do often indulge in blind esprit de corp.

Did Ipoola, his generation and those before him sacrifice their youth, making all of them collectively having zero-youth to keep Nigeria perpetually divided, perpetually unsecured, perpetually without national values; national morality; national integrity; national consciousness; national standards, national character; national ethics; national sensitivity; national sensibility; national mores/ethos; national and international image; national accountability system/stewardship; national truth; national goal, vison, dream; national destiny; national philosophy; national glory; national culture; national definition of values; national/international diplomacy; national relationship amongst the federated units/kingdoms/states; national thinking/national thoughts; universal altruism; national heroism; national respect; national self-respect; national common; national goal; national aims and objectives; national mission statement; national measurement; national yardstick; national judgement; national honesty policy; national absolutism; national appraisal system; national economy; national polity; national politics; national development; national industrialism, etc, etc?

The Nigeria that Akinrinade and his gang and generation before him and their privileged butter-brained children and other family members and their cronies had helped to recreate has since the unnecessary, unwarranted and unconstitutional intervention/interruption of the military in Nigerian politics been ruled by bestial and an unparalleled monstrous dictatorship, the law of relativism, Machiavellianism, agberoism, “Might is right”, the survival of the fittest, the laws/values and the principles of the privileged/tyrant minority (privilageism) , i-ism, me-ism, me-me-ism, everybody for themselves and God for all philosophy.

And to legitimise all those monstrosities into being, Ipoola and his gang of self-appointed messiahs/redeemers had decreed relativism, fake news and post-truth/post-honesty/post-accountability/post-integrity into the nation’s body politics, such that the most promoted ignominious values in Nigeria today are corruption and wealth without sweating/wealth without working (wws/www)!

Thus, the so-called wealthy people in modern Nigeria without an exception are by my reckoning, mere OWNERS OF WEALTH WITHOUT WORKING (OWWW) or OWNERS OF WEALTH WITHOUT SWEATING (OWWS)!

The Generals have garrisoned every public space in Nigeria: the industrial-private sector; the civil service – public sector; the political-elective spaces; the cultural-diplomatic; the socio-psychological spaces; the ethical-moral; religio-spiritual; geo-agricultural, geo-political, etc, such that till date, Nigeria remains the world’s biggest/largest barracks/garrison/cantonment/brigade.

Their children/wards, cronies, concubines together with those of the other political cannibals in their teens and early twenties are already billionaires in pounds and dollars.

Unarguably, this has turned the Nigerian nation and national values which my generation had grown up with upside down, and contributed in no small measure in re-arranging the values of society such that together with certain policies of government, foreign policy redefinition which have impoverished the majority of our people, absence of compassion in the national system, leading to gross neglect of the LEAST OF THESE ONES; emphasization and promotion of ethnic and regional interest above national interest; playing up one religion, particularly Islam over Christianity and indigenous religions cum the enlistment of Nigeria in the OIC through the back door by the Ibrahim Babangida administration, first in an observer status, contrary to the secularity of the Nigerian state; introduction of Sharia (which has permanently divided and restructured Nigeria, beating the restructuring Apostles to it) in some Northern States (nine, full and three, partial) have begotten the many-headed hydra today in our Republic – crimes of all sorts – armed robbery, kidnappings, extra-judicial killings by mostly the uniformed and some Nigerians, militancy, the so-called insurgency/banditry/alien invasion in the North East, which in fact, are terrorism (activities); unparalleled prostitution never before witnessed in the Republic; human trafficking, migration, terrorism, rapes, suicides and homicides/femicides and genocide/ethnic cleansing of immense proportion, courtesy of the Muhammadu Buhari Sunni Arab-Fulbe-Hausa-Kanuri scorched-earth policy; cultism; sodomy/homosexuality in a hitherto morally sound society; stupendous and endemic corruption in the body politics; unparalleled ignorance and illiteracy; unbridled ostentatious and dissipated lifestyle in the private/public sectors, amongst religious men and women, council, universities, schools colleges officials and students alike, in the armed forces, the police and amongst the para-military persons, in State Houses of Assembly and in that dome of ignominy, I have chosen to call THE RETIRED ASSEMBLY FOR DOUBLE PENSIONERS, etc, etc.

Whilst people are dying in hospitals by the thousands per second in the so-called oil and resource-rich Nigeria, pregnant women dying in their thousands per second, some patients being detained, some dying because they cannot afford to go to hospitals due to the mindless and heartless hospital bills charged in the ill-equipped hospitals; thousands stealing maggi cubes, pot of soup, corn, wraps of akamu (pap), loaves of bread, pomo, garri, ewedu, gbegri, amala and fufu with many going to sleep without food for a whole day; many in Muhammadu Buhari’s Nigeria still live in shanties, on stilts, not in riverine villages , but in cities, some living in slums; 8-22 people living in a room in towns, cities and in military/police barracks; millions of IDPs which attest to the crass insensitivity of the Nigerian State and people; many universities, but only for the children of the very obscenely wealthy; teenage Mamas; high rate of suicides, children out of schools due to the expensive school fees with some studying under trees in States where their Governors own private jets; sponsor mass weddings and the religious jamborees, erroneously and stupidly referred to as HOLY PILGIMAGES; marabouts, imams, sheikhs, clerics, who are mere charlatans prowling the corridors of power to offer prayers to Thieve-Executives and their corrupt Excellencies, seeking to bribe God with their hands full of blood of the innocent they had contracted people to kill; our thieving-crooked Generals, political crooks/cannibals, thieving CEOs, figure-robber kpamanent secretaries (Permanent Secretaries) and Directors in the now EVIL SERVICE and Damaging Directors (Managing Director) in the private sector; DG;, contract-chasing security chiefs; thoroughly bleached Motor Park Lords, who all are billionaires, preying on handsome revenues meant for the Local Government Councils; prostitutes and Jezebels of the worst kind are all confederate in boasting of having just bought their new cars whose worth range from £$N100, 000,000+++xxx (none of whose nuts are manufactured in Nigeria/Africa), and thoroughly arrogant and boasting Churchpreneurs who have abandoned the true gospel (“Repent ye…”, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God…” and “You brood of vipers, who hath asked you to flee from the wrath to come…?”) for the CHOCOLATE GOSPEL of Miracle-Breakthrough-Prosperity Motivational Teaching and sugar-honey-coated Marketing or Inspirational Philosophy and Developmental Psychology and turned MY FATHER’S HOUSE to places of merchandise, owning private jets (none of which is manufactured in Nigeria/Africa), bought with money they had extorted from the gullible, toiling and hapless Nigerians, building universities with people’s money in a nation that almajiris (urchins) have taken over every street and farmlands in the name of jihad/Islamism/terrorism to further the Arab-Fulbe empire in Nigeria (even the Sokoto Caliphate, which to me died in 1903, but the Caliphate delusionists/cabals will not so agree) territorial expansion, with most of these Frankenstein’s monsters now dominating the terror and crime industry in Nigeria, whilst hypocritical Sultan (Sada) Sa’adu Abubakar III engaged in double-speak – threatening those he considers as infidels with “consequences” from his upper lip and with his lower lip, talking of peace and reminding all the gullible and the untutored without the ABC knowledge of the modern Arab-Fulbe empire project/vision that, “We are all children of Abraham, and that the three foreign religions of Christianity, Judaism and Islam all have Abrahamic roots!”

O Mighty God, Creator of the heavens and the earth, thou God of justice, now is the time to arise on behalf of the LEAST OF THESE ONES in Nigeria and judge all the OWNERS of wealth without working/sweating, holding onto our commonwealth – oil blocks and other wealth of national commons in Nigeria – judge them in the sky, let the Captain of the Hosts of the Lord, even that Field Marshall of the Lord’s army mount sky-block to bring down their jets from the sky, their homes and families visited with pestilences and strange diseases onto the 100th generation.

Thou God of judgement, arise in thy uncontrollable wrath and do fierce battle with the killers of your people;

Lord of Hosts, thou Jehovah Nissi and the Lord Ebenezer, judge all those causing thy children, even the Nigerian people endless anguish and sorrows - judge them on the mountain tops, on the hills and valleys; on the plains, plateaux, savanna, in the desert and in the wilderness; judge them in the sky, on land, in the rivers, seas and oceans; judge them in their obscene cars and homes and the so-called private jets; judge them from their every hideout – in the clefts of the rock, every nook and cranny of the House of Nigeria; judge them in their so-called National Assembly; judge them in the Presidency, in their shrines, temples, lodges, churches and mosques of shame; judge them in the State Houses, in the judiciary, in the newsrooms, in market places, in their rugas; judge them in the city, in every little corner where they are gathered to plot to drain the blood of the poor from their arteries –

God of vengeance, let your judgement from the Highest cascade upon all the evil doers/murderers and all those doing detestable things in high places in Nigeria right now:

  • But let judgment roll down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.
  • But let judgment roll down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.
  • But let judgment roll down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.
  • But let judgment roll down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.
  • But let judgment roll down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.
  • But let judgment roll down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.

  • But let judgment roll down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream. (Amos 5:23)

  • R-oll!
  • Roll!
  • Roll!
  • O’ Lord God, Almighty, let Nineveh be a child’s play as you raise your standard against the evil doers, the corrupt, all the oppressors, murderers and all Owners of wealth without working in Nigeria -
  • Mighty God, do it that they will know that you are the God that has put Nigeria together as one people.

  FOOD FOR THOUGHT

  • In Muhammadu Buhari’s Nigeria, it is far safer to be a cow than a human being, especially if a non-Fulbe.
  •
  • Would that someone from here would let Umaru Dikko know that Nigerians now not only pick rubbish from garbage, but they actually feed therefrom and sleep on top of the mountains of garbage that litter, not the Nigerian village landscape, but her city landscape!
