COMMENT BY MR CHRIS HOBBS, AN EX- BRITISH POLICE OFFICER ABOUT “BE A BEACON OF HOPE IN THE WORLD: A MESSAGE TO YOUNG BRITAIN:

“I think your book is excellent. In an ideal world, that book should be given to every head-teacher in the country. If I were a head I'd pick three messages every week and display them prominently, say in the entrance and /or assembly hall so every pupil could see them.

Congratulations

Chris”

“It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves.”

  • William Shakespeare.

MC Oluomo…in charge and in control.

Usman Alkali Baba and the untaming of Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s private ‘army’…sooner or later what BAT and his ‘army’ will bring upon our Nigeria is pregnant.

Baba without proactive policing….in power and neither in charge nor in control. Not good value for money!

Behold, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the originator of TINUBU CROW and the man who has been putting a sword on the things that hold us (the nation) together.

Tinubu Crow just like Jim Crow is the mindless exploitation of those at the zero rung of the ladder of the nation - the louts (Area Boys and Girls), particularly in the South West, telling them even if the “Yibos” (Ndigbo) have “taken everything”, including land from them -  as sons and daughters of the soil, they in fact, own everything the “Yibos”, including their shops, which at will they can burn and cart aways their goods, with Baba and his officers playing the bystander role.

“You may subvert the will of the people by the people for the people to realize your inordinate ambition, but you cannot subvert the will of God for the people.”

- John Odey Aduma.

The Presidency is an exalted office for the exalted mind.

Ego Naka…in modern Nigeria, it not character, honesty, integrity, standards and merit, but it’s a matter of cash. And the more, the bigger your space and place in the Nigerian society of today. And in all that life can offer the Nigerian, the successful are those with the most cash, and in 99.09% of the cases, stolen. Therefore, ill-gotten, yet from amongst these conscienceless and mindless crooks emanate the nation’s rulers!

Whilst in the Age of untruth, the fools say money is the measure of value, the wise think otherwise, because money is neither the measure of value nor of truth nor a legal tender in the truth economy.

Since the unsurprising, but very embarrassing and shameful outcome of the 2023 Presidential Election in Nigeria, which no doubt has orphaned a great nation; and predominating in my oracular glass is the uneasy calm that has descended upon our nation with violence and war flapping their wings in and around Nigeria as a fowl shot by an evil hunter, who returned from an unsuccessful hunting expedition at the Okipu rainforest, but turned its anger at a fowl that crossed his path in the heat of the anger of returning empty-handed from the jungle without any game, thinking he would convince his kinsmen that the domesticated fowl was indeed a type of guinea fowl. Is the modern world not full of desperate men like that hunter?

The risk of violence and civil unrest surrounding the upcoming Nigerian presidential elections is a threat and while it may mean some global businesses temporarily exit the country taking their employees with them, G4S stands ready to protect its customers with an enhanced range of services available.

For customers who remain operational, they can be reassured that G4S’s capabilities in Nigeria are some of the best; including Close Protection Officers, Secure Transportation Services and Tracking and Response capabilities.

Whilst Author JOHN ODEY ADUMA here uses the occasion of the aftermath of the just concluded General Elections in Nigeria to counsel calm, level-headedness and the embracement of the Nigerian spirit in the face of all provocations, no matter how slight or big; national and universal brotherhood; peace that surpasses all understanding; unparalleled maturity; altruism and the spirit of oneness and sportsmanship as what should matter to all humanity in every competitive enterprise is the spirit of oneness and participation rather than the mentality of winning at all costs, consequent upon resorting to agberoic braggadocio or the latest bestiality, monstrosity and the very toxic weaponization of  politicking, otherwise known as the game of number, courtesy of EMILOKANISM or the gruesome and an unkind act of BATology or mindless Jagabanism, he is more than ever before convinced beyond every shadow of the doubt that despite the unparalleled corruptibility of the Judiciary in modern Nigeria, the court yet in our body politics remains our last best option and hope!

And to the IGP Usman Alkali Baba and his officers, he says even a person with a zero-policing knowledge will know that that chief of touts, MC Oluomo should by now be a person of interest, including his pay masters, who if not very careful henceforth, will suffer a worse fate than that of M.K.O Abiola, despite the nation’s weak accountability system.

  • Walrus are facing the harsh realities of the climate crisis and we urgently need to discover more about how they are affected to help safeguard their future
  • WWF and the British Antarctic Survey (BAS) are calling for the public’s help to search for and count Atlantic and Laptev walrus through Maxar satellite images from space
  • The ‘counting phase’ comprises walrus haul-outs imaged in 2021, and will be open for 3 weeks from 17 January to 7 February 2023

From 17 January 2023, WWF and the British Antarctic Survey (BAS) are inviting the public to become ‘walrus detectives’ and get involved in their Walrus from Space project to help with vital research to enable a better understanding of these Arctic marine mammals.

Walrus are facing the consequences of the climate crisis and we need to know more about how they are affected. ‘Walrus Detectives’ help contribute to conservation science by searching for walrus in thousands of satellite images collected by space technology and intelligence company Maxar Technologies. The images found to contain walrus from the first year have been reloaded into the citizen science platform and the ‘detectives’ are now invited to count the walrus in those images to contribute to population data.

  • New WWF tool uses data from 50 organisations including NASA, the World Bank and IUCN to help investors and companies understand the risks they face from biodiversity loss
  • When used on a representative investor portfolio, the tool finds that most portfolio companies have a medium or high exposure to biodiversity-related risks

Today at the World Economic Forum meeting at Davos, WWF is launching a new tool to help companies and investors better understand their impacts and dependencies on nature.

WWF’s Biodiversity Risk Filter is a free to use, web-based tool that helps businesses identify and reduce biodiversity-related risks across their own operations, their value chains and investments.

Using 50 data sets from NASA, IUCN, the World Bank and many other sources, it breaks down complex biodiversity information to give decision makers practical information to assess biodiversity-related risks across all industries and in all countries.

RUBBISH, RUBBISH, RUBBISH EVERYWHERE AND NO JANITOR TO COLLECT THEM!

In this day and age when viruses have taken over the global atmosphere, coming one after another to torment mankind, the senior official of the Nigeria Low Commission didn’t just bother as he carried on attending to his compatriots as if the rubbish he was standing by were objects of decorations or the solutions Nigeria needed to liberate herself from her present mess nor did he pause to think both himself and his compatriots could catch Covid or other dangerous viruses by standing so, so close to the rubbish.

THE SERIALIZATION OF THE CRIMEBUSTER BY JOHN ODEY ADUMA, AUTHOR OF "BE A BEACON OF HOPE IN THE WORLD: A MESSAGE TO YOUNG BRITAIN"

As from next week, we shall as our patriotic response to the ever-worsening security situation in Nigeria, ECOWAS, Africa and in the world start the serialization of my new book The Crimebuster still in manuscript for the global policing, security, and defence community, particularly the Nigerian security agencies.
