What is worse and most lamentable – what could be coursing through the minds of passers-by in a multi-racial environment such as the UK?
Could you hazard a guess? “NIGERIA IS INDEED A RUBBISH COUNTRY RULED BY ALL SORTS OF CROOKS”.
So, if those whose statutory and diplomatic functions amongst a host of others are to launder the nation’s image in all they think, do and say in a foreign land cannot do just that, why keep them at the expense of the nation’s taxpayers for a second longer?
His Rubbishllency, Sarafa Tunji Isola, Nigeria’s Low Commissioner to the United Kingdom. But why has the nation like in all areas of our national life dumbed down on the quality of its High Commissioners and Ambassadors to the nations?
WHERE ARE THE MEN AND WOMEN OF “TIMBER AND CALIBER”?
Where are the Matthew Tawo Mbus of old, the Okoi Arikpos of old, Joseph Nanven Garbas of old, Babafemi Ogundipes of old, Maitama Sules, Professor Bola Ajibolas of old, Professor Bolaji Akinyemis of old, Prof Adeoye Lambos, K.O, Mbadiwe, M.C.K. Ajuluchukwu, Justice Udo Udomas of old, Rotimi Williams, Gani Fawehinmi of old, etc, etc?

Never has the nation appointed a foreign affairs ‘pygmy’ such as he to oversee one of the most important Ministries in the world – The Foreign Affairs. Oyeama redefined the nation’s foreign policies towards the East – and it is that shift in our foreign policy that is at the heart of the pervasive insecurity in Nigeria of today.
CONVERSTAION ONVERSATION BETWEEN THE AUTHOR AND THE SENIOR OFFICIAL WHOSE LEGS APPEARED IN THE PICTURE
Prologue
On arrival at the now NIGERIA LOW COMMISSION in London today to renew my passport, the first embarrassing and shocking sight that commanded my attention was not the queue of fellow Nigerians thereat, but that rubbish as pictured above.
Not needing any oracular consultation as such was very unnecessary, I brought out my mobile phone and began to take the pictures of the shame as above.
The ruling/metropolitan elites back home are totally negligent of their fellow Nigerians back home, lacking the Jesusian Compassion, but fellow Nigerians at the Nigeria High Commission in London are more notorious for their general aggressive tendencies, short fuse, always backing like Alsatian dogs, very uncouth and unfriendly, despotic, tyrannical, authoritarian and stinging their compatriots like an evil scorpion for just asking a question, lacking the finesse of office communications cum decorum, more so, diplomatic communications/diplomatese which ought to be conciliatory, behaving as if possessed by the spirit of Rehoboam (1 Kings 12:11).
Enter, the Senior Official of the Nigeria Low Commission, London, United Kingdom: Why are you taking that picture. You came for something, instead of facing what you have come for, you are busy doing something else.
Enter, Me: It is my right to so do.

Lest I forget, the florescent bulb in the so-called GENTLEMEN’S toilet is dead, merely flickering constantly, yet there is a LOW COMMISSIONER in charge with his people/team/staff, including Maintenance officers (?).
So, why send a ‘boy’ to head a very strategic Mission such as the officially named NIGERIA HIGH COMMISSION, LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM? Hereditary privilege, of course!
But what ought Isola and his staff to be doing: IMAGE LAUNDRY or IMAGE RUBBISHING or IMAGE DAMAGING?
The very rotten Nigerian leadership cannot take care of our Nigeria and the Nigerian people, nor can they beautify such a great gift from God as our Nigeria – worse, those representing us at the various missions in the nations are undoubtedly worse as the UK’s case/s has/have shown again and again!
