And out of that infantile bacchic enthusiasm which early Dele Alake would never ever be associated with, he’s already, rather been referring to himself as a Special Adviser to his so-called the Prezdent-elect.
But is there anyone outa there who will convince me that the political egret perching on BAT’s hunchback is truly the Dele Alake whom I used to know and very close to?

But in the final analysis, for whom are all these proselytes of nationalism labouring and destroying their hard-earned reputation – BAT or KashShetti or another?
Only time will tell!
Bayo Onagogoro: Suddenly became agberoic in all that he thinks, says, and does for the sole aim of becoming a Special Adviser to the detriment of our collective diversity and national destiny, having as it were, that infamous motor park slogan of “Burn down this temple” as his AMALA DOCTRINE.
But did any Nigerian still remember that this coward’s abandoned us in the ‘trench’ when the heat was on under Sani Abacha and fled abroad? All the world now know that he was not then imperilling his life and family because of Nigeria, but because he was aiming to become a Special Adviser in the envisaged Abiola/Kingibe Administration.
What a sorry tale for this once sought after man. Truth is that all the stories now emanating all over the world about this irredeemably backslidden pen pusher and nationalist hitherto of the highest rating, has not only been giving this writer sleepless nights over the fallen state of this once journalistic giant and warrior, but this writer is yet to convince himself that it is indeed, Bayo Onanuga of yore.
‘Bishop Onagaga’ must stand by the mirror, look at himself, reflect, then hie to both the Niger and Benue to weep until his tears cause the two great rivers to overflow their banks, and thereafter like Dele and Sammy hang his head in shame!
Yet, all the Nigerian people who knew early Bayo Onanuga, should join me in calling him: Bayo Onanuga! Bayo Onanuga, come unto thyself, thou ‘treacherous prodigal’, come unto thyself thou must, lest ye shall forfeit thy soul in hell fire!

Once again, I want to stress that the conspiracy to deny Ndigbo the chance to row Boat Nigeriyana on May 29, 2023-May 29, 2027 was not a plot by the entire Yorubas to deny Ndigbo their chance to rule Nigeria, but by a gang of despicable Emilokanites/Tinubuites/Jagabanites/Ashywajuites/Bullionvanites/the monstrous and terrorists gang of the Lagos motor park touts/louts as led by that very highly depraved and body-thoroughly-bleached Emu Shee Oluomo; the band of how-for-do(?) Remites and the South West Press Hub, particularly the infantile Lagos and the greedy Concord Confraternity, who all are looking for political appointments at the expense of national unity and inclusivity – again, all earnestly desiring to be Special Advisers, ministers and other such Food-is-Ready or Come Chop (ewa jeun) political appointments; members of the Lagos Press Hub/South West (LPH/SWPH) who have all lost their voices and stings because of pafu/amala/pomo/gbegri (keske/egun je) and the ever or perpetually hungry policrookcians like elder Fani Power’s ‘kitten’, suffering from acute identity crisis like his crooked boss, Amoda Yekini Ogunlere.
ALL FOR FILTHY LUCRE AND JUST 8-YEAR FAME
These Ki le je ku(?) journalists and their hungry reporters cum contributors, having placed their self-interest above the nation’s destiny, have collectively conspired to knock the heads of the entire Yoruba nation against that of Ndigbo with very dire consequences which end is the Nigerian state risking another war, eventuating in arguably, the partitioning of our Nigeria – Nigerians going their separate ways, a sort of being pushed to a point of no return as a broken bottle cannot be pieced together by any human genius.
HOW THE NORTH IS EXPLOITING AND WILL EXPLOIT THE HEALTH STATE OF AMODA OGUNLERE (a.ka. Bola Ahmed Tinubu)
Lamentably, what the otunus (Yala, for agent provocateurs) in all of this absurdity do not have the foresight/insight and mental capacity to foresee and understand is that their Fulbe masters are hell-bent on putting Kash in the Presidency to not only complete the remainder Yar’Adua years, but to rule beyond 2027, if not perpetually, by exploiting Mallam/Alhaji Ogunlere’s health challenge.
Also, what all Nigerians yet don’t know is that in the APC’s super-next level, the zangoites/rugaites will be more vicious and murderous in their hasty quest for territorial expansion as in the coming days, months and years, the effects of climate change in all North will not only be fiercest, but very deadly!
So, the land grabbing or land snatching agenda of the Fulbes, using the AK-47-carrying herders, amongst whom are alien invaders from the Muslim world is primarily their response to existential challenge/threats than Islamism/jihadism, although the two are composite or go pari passu.
NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL LIABILITY
Fellow Nigerians, the Ishmaelites, the Edomites, Amorites, the Philistines, the Amalekites, Chaldeans, the Babylonians, and the Assyrians are coming!
And in the event of the President-rejected getting sworn in on May 29, 2023, very arguably so, both his zero state of identity and state of health will afterward become the real politics, including all forms of deals and negotiations, nationally and internationally.
What is more, all his dirty ‘clothes’ will be put on every table during international negotiations and deals, thus putting Nigeria at very pitiful state/disadvantage, both at home and in Nigeria.
JUST HOW WILL THE NEXT PRESIDNT OPERATE IN THE NATION’S HIGHLY FULANISED INSTITUTIONS AND SPACES?
To start with, whoever will not find it funny in our highly Fulanised, Arabised and Islamised institutions and spaces. Worse, the economy has been gasping for breath since the coming of Xerxes of Niger Republic and taking to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Rehoboam’s exit from government and governance.
And if God forbid, it crooked Tinubu, members of the Fulanised/Arabised military and the police will frustrate him, ignore/disregard his orders. His case is likely to be worse than that of Major-General Femi Ogundipe.
So, if his Presidency becomes arguably a reality, Alhaji Ogunlere will terribly be a liability nationally and internationally as the dossiers for his dirty wealth and zero identity will be dusted and used to arm-twist him! There will therefore be heightened activities of corruption in the land as corruption never fights corruption, nor worms do fight worms; including the regrouping of the invaders from all East, the Maghreb, and all Africa – the herders (bush + urban), terrorists (bush + urban), and generally, the metropolitan crooks, pen and armed robbers around him will take corruption to the furthest bestial and monstrous level!
The battle grounds for the Fulani and the Jihadi invaders will be fiercest in the Midland and South West, and there is likely no hiding place for Samuel Ortom.
Ortom must therefore, more than ever before, watch his very back now and in the coming days, months, and years!
But where will S.O. get his security from (bodyguards) – Israel?

All these elements who have been given the nation and the Nigerian people unnecessary headache, pitting one ethnic nationality against the other so they can put food on the tables for their families and the next generation thereof, and to enable them ‘worship’ more idols, better still have more toys to ‘oppress’ and show off to their very depraved class, are undoubtedly very brilliant journalists and had actually proved themselves and given a great accounting of themselves in their various duty posts, both in the newsrooms and outside of them.
But how such fine men and hitherto great and fine journalists/writers and nationalists have turned themselves into cattle egrets perching on the hunchback of crooked Tinu, and doing “More Blessings”, sah to him like a horde of Almajirai with flies-filled bowls, standing at the gate of their benefactor, singing: “Allah ba ni kudi, ba ni Allah”, is what has been giving this writer sleepless nights as he was close to most of these hitherto fine works of God’s art, particularly Henry Alake, to whom this writer was very close whilst yet in Nigeria?
In their earlies, these were amongst the highest men and professionals that Nigeria, nay, Africa, and the world could boast of, for they were all of the highest moral force and nationalism.
SELF-HELP JOURNALISM: EPIDEMIC OF POLITICAL ATTACHMENT SYNDROME (PAS) AMONGST JOURNALISTS IN NIGERIA
Help-yourself-journalism, a millennium newsroom ‘disease’ in Nigeria, arguably peculiar mostly to journalists in Nigeria, is a very worrying ‘disease’ for this writer and in fact, it has been giving him sleepless nights for many years now (please see his critical theory of journalism entitled: PYRAMIDAL CRITICISM or TRIPODAL THEORY OF JOURNALISM/REPORTAGE).
HYSJ is an existential ‘condition’ or concern displayed/exhibited amongst journalists in Nigeria which makes them resort to Okoka journalism (Yala, for praise) or Oriki journalism (Yoruba, for praise), a sort of praise-worship reportage – deliberately doing PR for, or resorting to praising persons, especially politicians and institutions so they could be told FOOD IS READY, come chop or go chop in high places/offices. Food-is-ready journalism consciously lacks critical journalism or reportage, better still, is devoid critical thinking, investigation, placing news subjects/objects in the balance, careful and meticulous scrutiny, news analysis, news balancing - giving all a fair hearing and criticism of politicians and public office holders in Nigeria.
Come-Chop, Food is ready reporting/features has as its slogan: Praise, worship and be called/invited; Criticise, analyse, and be avoided/ignored.”
Amongst my colleagues, the impression has been created very erroneously that journalism being “a thankless job”, the only salvation for them now in the Nigerian Federation/society is to attach themselves to those they ought ordinarily to be holding to account, a people of very base morality, and with regard to Amoda - a man highly depraved, deficient in morality and integrity, shouldn’t ordinarily command the attention of any serious and self-respecting journalists in that country - having no national nor cultural nor social nor religious nor educational nor aesthetic nor economic nor political nor ethical nor philosophical nor ideological sensibilities and leaning.
Lamentably, around this “evil fig” are those hitherto fine journalists who undoubtedly were once the conscience of the nation and the custodian of national morality and standards!
AN APPEAL TO CONSCIENCE AND A CALL TO ACTION: A MESSAGE TO JOURNALISTS IN NIGERIA
But the way out of this newsroom mess in modern journalism practice in Nigeria, especially with respect to the poor remuneration is not to play leeches, parasites to/on and perch on these political worms/vultures’ hunchbacks, but simply to try to be creative a little bit in order to get out of the situation.
Thus, at the end of the day, I say to all my colleagues back home out of genuine love for all of them, great concern for their welfare generally, and severally, that the trouble/problem with them (journalists in Nigeria) is not first and foremost material poverty engendered by poor remuneration, but poverty of ideas cum poverty of conscience, dignity and integrity that makes them to stoop so low for and worship/deify all the crooks in every little corner of the Nigerian state, especially the polifraudstians.
What you don’t know is that the money they are giving you is what they have stolen from the state and its people. You are therefore, complicit, guilty and liable to judgement in the same measure as they. What is more, the political appointment from them in most of the cases are just a bribe to shut your mouth.
It is thus to be stated that journalists in Nigeria (not Nigerian journalists or Nigerian press or Nigerian media as there is yet no such things) must remember that sitting in the national tribunal to where they have just been summoned by the national trumpet blast, it is they and not the politicians or any VIP or just citizens who wear the crowns, summoning all to account for their stewardships and intransigence against the state, whilst their Lordships sitting therein with them in that holy ground of service, merely apply the law and bring to justice all those who have been found wanting after meticulous and unbiased inquiries in their service/s to the state in their (various) little corners.
ABSORPTION: THE NIGERIAN TRAGEDY
Country people, see what money, and the desire to go with the Joneses, rather every Amoda, Yekini, Tinubu and Ogunlere can do?
Excepting, His Holiness, the Archbishop of Alagbadotican, every journalist in Nigeria, who has been around Mallam Ogunlere of Iragbiji and Guinea since 1999 till the very present is now a multi-billionaire without working nor sweating.
And what our latter comer, Johnny Just Come (JJC) Onanuga earnestly desires to do is enter the next looting train called: NIGERIYANA, having so been ‘oppressed’ by his newsroom colleagues and friends, especially those from Concord enclave for so long, he too wants to go to Abuja at all costs to partake of the national cake to enable him cut a very large chunk therefrom for himself, household and the next generation of his immediate family, just as his friends and colleagues have done.
Too much agbado and guguru dey make man pikin desperate to go there for one’s own share of the national cake, you would say!
After all those years of just being content with garrium sulphate, agbado, pomo, epa, guguru and gbegri soup in the newsroom, Bayo has suddenly realised that journalism is a thankless trade.
And in that desperation to go up their (there) and chop, it does look he has been busy ‘recruiting’ his former bosses - Oga Ray and Oga Dan for a PR offensive to not only keep the hordes of OBIFERVESCENT at bay or away like Covid (a plague), but to convince Nigerians that crooked Amoda’s stolen victory na true-true victory; and both have been unashamedly pleading with Obi and Atiku Wayo and their hordes of irritant ‘pests’ to sheathe their sword, rather drop their AK-47 and accept the results of the elections, particularly, the PE of February 25th, 2023.
But my message to Oga Ray and Oga Dan is that whilst they no longer care about their hard-earned good names and reputation, and like Esau, are desperately out to remove their good names from both the national and universal halls of fame because of the envisaged political appointments and contracts, is to simply say: SANKOFA, to both, for undoubtedly, this writer grew up with their writings.
And more than anything else, this writer will never forget Oga Ray’s inspiring and encouraging words to him over three decades ago when he travelled all the way from Great Ife as an undergraduate to attend the first ever Guardian Public Lecture, delivered by His Excellency, the Jamaican fourth Prime Minister, Michael Norman Manley (1972-1980) at Sheraton Hotel, and on many other occasions, both at Great Ife and outside of it, and in their offices, he had met the Concord Quartet – Ray Ekpu, Dele Giwa, Dan Agbese and Yakubu Mohammed, all undoubtedly the finest of the finest of the finest journalists in Nigeria till date who have reproduced themselves a trillion times over and their influences are still visible in today’s journalism in our country.
Anyway, as I once did ask my son, General Ipoola Alani Akinrinade why he would stake his hard-earned reputation to defend Muhammadu Buhari over his certificate saga(?), in like manner, I will hereby humbly plead with Oga Ray and Oga Dan to gba break in their various articles in The Guardian, defending or adding their voices to the band of Alleluia and Ki le je ku(?) choristers around crooked Amoda, as these Amoda’s political egrets think with Oga Ray and Oga Dan on their side, their “silver hairs” will go a long way in convincing Nigerians of BAT’s ‘victory’, and subsequently win them to their agberoic cause!
“ABSORB” …. ABSORPTION & THE ABSORBENT SYSTEM
It was whilst at Rutam House as a staff reporter on the Magazine Desk that Mr Obasi Ogbonnaya, my Editor one evening drew my attention to that word “absorb” in the cause of himself and myself, just two of us that evening, discussing the Nigerian reality/dilemma.
Said he: “Come-O, John, I noticed that with the exception of Gani Fawehinnmi, virtually all the nation’s activists after some time in their lives get absorbed into the Nigerian system.”
Mr Ogbonnaya proceeded to list names upon names of those activists, including former students union leaders and all those idealistic young men and women, doing Aluta all over our campuses and all over the place, opening prisons, and those just returning from their National Service, calling for the clearing up of the mess of the republic or in haste, actually call for the destruction of this ‘temple’, but who after sometimes when the reality of the Nigerian society hit them gbua(!), would give up Aluta, and subsequently get themselves absorbed - entangled or sozzled in the Nigerian mess, becoming worse than those they had spent years to criticise.
Upon cogitation, I told Mr Ogbonnaya, that I totally agreed with him.
His actual word was “absorbed”, whilst decades of critically dissecting and analysing the Nigerian condition/reality and dilemma, I came up with the words/phrases: Absorption, and the Absorbent System.
Thus, our Nigeria functions like an “absorption) and the Nigerian system is actually to be known and called or referred to as THE ABSORBENT SYSTEM!
Condolences, then Dele Alake; Sam Omatseye, Condolences and to Bishop Onagaga (Bayo Onanuga), the only Pontiff of Alagbadotican: it is Condolences, condolences, and condolences!
OF BACKSLIDING JOURNALISTS & PROSELYTES OF NIGERIANISM
May God help their backsliding, triply: professionally, nationalistically, and spiritually - sliding from that Olympian height to becoming ethnic pigmies, bigots, lilliputian and champions. What a lament!
And by their antics and because of their bellies and food on the table for their families; inheritance for their children and the unborn generation of their lineage, and idols – all modern toys; they have pushed our Nigeria to the brink, ready to implode sooner or later.
Thus, in the coming days, weeks, months, and years, it will always be my prayers – nothing-nothing should happen to Nigeria) that it should be well with our country, but whatever happens to our Naija, my fellow Nigerians should hold the members of the Concord Alliance responsible because for their stomachs, they have not only wired our Nigeria to burst into flames sooner or later, but conspired to mortgage our collective future and destiny.
