They are political contractors who without knowledge of construction are awarded contracts which they sell and resell and resell in a long line of chains until the money is finished, but at the ministry of works and housing you will find such inscriptions as PROJECTS COMPLETED!

The NEW PDPers (npdps) are not likely going to put their eggs in one basket. They'd like to go where their bread will be well buttered or their vaunting ambitions will be realized, hence they are not committed to any particular political party. In previous democratic dispensations, it was Eastern Region and the North against the former Western Region before the politcally motivated creation of or the carving out of the Mid Western Region from it in 1963, primarily to whittle down the powers of Obafemi Awolowo, but by 1965 when the so-called Caliphate North with its Northern People's Congress foolishly penetrated deeper into the heartland of the core Western Region of the Yorubas by forming an Alliance with Samuel Ladoke Akintola and his Nigerian National Democratic Party (NNDP), a situation which exacerbated the in-fighting which had been going on between the Action Group and the NNDP since May of 1962 forcing the Federal Government of Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa to declare a state of emergency that year in Western Region lasting six months in which Dr M. A. Majekodunmi, the then Federal Minister of Health was appointed by ATB as Administrator of W.R.

The NNDP-NPC Alliance of 1965 after that year's General Elections led to the second break down of law and order in the West dubbed OPERATION WETIE in which scores of lives were lost. SLA himself was to lose his life thereafter in the first military coup of January 15, 1966, spear-headed arguably by Major Kaduna Nzeogwu.

YORUBAS: ALWAYS THE LOSERS SINCE 1817

It must however be stressed here again as I have continued to do in my dissections of the origin of political and military alliances in Nigeria that in all of the alliances the Yorubas had entered into with the Hausa and Fulani people since the Kakanfo Afonja/Alimi Alliance of 1817 saw the defeat and the halting of the Oyo empire spreading beyond Oyo in which Mallam Shehu Alimi later turned round and killed the Yoruba General, Afonja leading to the Yorubas losing Ilorin to the Sokoto Caliphate, not a single of all the modern alliances the Yorubas have entered into since 1965 has worked beautifully - and in all of the cases from the Hausa/Fulani and the Yoruba Alliance as exemplified in the Afonja/Alimi Alliance, the Yorubas have ALWAYS been the losers and all such alliances have always led to untold violence resulting in the death of thousands with the Yoruba protagonists in such alliances getting killed, and putting it very mildly, getting thoroughly messed up, and in some of the cases they ended up in jail, ended up in being roped in phantom coup/s as in the cases of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida/Ernest Adegunle Oladeinde Shonekan (North/South West) or Hausa-Fulani/Yoruba Diarchy, the Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola /Baba Gana Kingibe Yoruba/Hausa-Fulani Alliance, the Sani Abacha/North (Hausa-Fulani) and the Oladipo Diya/South West or Yoruba Alliance.

However, speaking militarily, the Hausa-Fulani/North and the Yoruba/South West Alliances with Olusegun Obasanjo representing the Yorubas in various dispensations, both military and in a democracy in a way, mark the phrase "in a way" seemed to have managed to work, despite glaring hitches/antagonism/hatred/bruises and a few killings ONLY because the Yorubas as represented by their General son, Olu Obasanjo played the second fiddle in such military alliances, all of the time in order to survive.

But at other times when he stayed outside and decided foolishly and in his characteristic delusions of grandeur and messianic fantancy cum his poisonous letters, the Hausa-Fulani protagonists heading such Governments had either merely frowned/warned him or as in the case of Sani Abacha, the notorious village letter writer was hurled into jail with the then maximum ruler taking away the keys of Olu's very prison cell door, but forgot to throw them into the Lagoon, just as the titular Sardauna of Sokoto, the very arrogant Ahmadu Bello was reputed to have thrown a cop(y)ies of the Koran into the River Niger, so his delusional ONE NORTH would rule Nigeria in perpetuity.
But with the intervention of Providence, Olu's life was spared when the same Providence intervened again on his behalf, following the death of Sani Abacha, agents of the Caliphate led by Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida were able to locate the prison's key and headed there to release him, and like the Biblical Joseph, the same Providence lifted Olu up from prison to become the President of Nigeria for 8 years - even though that release was highly providential, the agents of the Sokoto Caliphate whom God had used to cause the release and eventual accelerated advancement of Olu and entrusted him their political kingdom, bidding him to occupy till they come, handed him a script, which leaving it to the imagination of the reader as to whether that script was just imaginative or actual, when Obasanjo having got the keys to the throne decided to deviate from its spirit for reasons best known only to him, the actual caretakers of the kingdom punished him with Sharia to snub him and his Christian South.
Did not Donaldson Oladipo Diya under the same Sani Abacha suffer the same fate which if not again with the intervention of Providence, DOD representing the Yorubas/South West in the Sani Abacha/North (Hausa-Fulani) Alliance would have been cheaply dispensed with, courtesy of the phantom coup or actual?

Since a major work by me on all of the Hausa-Fulani and Yoruba Alliances dating back to 1817 is ongoing and may be published on or before the 100 days in office of the current Hausa-Fulani and Yoruba Alliance as represented by the Arewa religious and ethnic jingoist, Muhammadu Buhari and Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu representing the Yorubas/South West, I will just here ask my readers to reflect on the eventual fate of such great sons of the Yorubas like Samuel Ladoke Akintola, Adekunle Fajuyi, M. It is shocking and embarrassing to learn that in the midst of the position-sharing crisis at the Apex Legislative Assembly, Buhari who has chosen and has been so advised to play the silent sentinel behaving like a pendulum is being honoured with the excellent attribute of a tolerant, unobtrusive, non-interferring democrat who is giving all sides in the fracas the wide democratic space to exhibit their felinity and dogtitude. Truth is, Buhari and the Arewa cohorts out to pursue the ONE NORTH AGENDA are merely hibernating at the background, quietly moving things and directing the course of events at the ALA, hence to say that Buhari is non-committal, uninterested and nonchallant is to exhibit the worst form of pitiful and incurable naivety which is tantamount to a gross lack of the basic understanding of the complexity of the Nigerian politics as far as power struggle between the North and the South of Nigeria is concerned.
What is more, whilst the crisis at the ALA persists with its potential capacity to get messier, if not quickly arrested, Buhari, unknown to Nigerians, particularly the likes of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Bisi Akande, John Odigie-Oyegun and Rotimi Amaechi, is quietly recloning the Nigerian State in the image of Sharia through all of his appointments thus far, especially such appointments starting with Ahmed Joda (Muslim/North), as Chairman of his own side of the transition committee, knowing full well that the former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonahtan had chosen his Vice President, a Muslim in the person of treacherous Namadi Sambo (Muslim/North).

It must NOT be lost on Nigerians that out of the 16 Council members of the then SMC Bigot Buhari appointed 11 from the North, leaving the whole South with just 5 members!
The danger inherent in this type of lopsided composition of the national decision making body in a military setting is better left in the realm of the imagination.

Whilst Nigeria is being cloned in Sharia/Muslim image, it is very unfortunate that the Christians in Nigeria have as ever remained largely ignorant and stupidly displaying their trademark ignorance of and total lack of knowledge of their country reducing as usual, everything to prayer without action. And Pastor Oluleke Osinbajo just sits there like a rubber stamp! But the Bible says "Faith (prayer) without actions/works is dead."
Christians in Nigeria are so timid and naive to the point of not speaking out when it matters the most or fighting for their constitutional rights as in such other aberrations in the body politics as Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), beginning from September 25th, 1969 in the Kingdom of Morocco when Yakubu Gowon, a Christian sent a delegation led by Sheikh Abubakar Gumi in an observer status capacity to the eventual membership of Nigeria under Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida in 1986; membership of Developing - 8 under Sani Abacha; Sharia under Olusegun Obasanjo, a Christian; establishment of the so-called Islamic Bank; domination of the armed forces, the police; all para-military institutions; the civil service with the secondment rubbish which makes States in the North withdraw Federal civil servants of junior ranks to serve in their States of origin, where they are given rapid promotions to senior level positions within months and a few years, say two, and afterwards return them to the Federal Civil Service as Directors and Permanent Secretaries, etc, whilst their more educated, more qualified, more competent Southern compatriots still remain where their Northern compatriots left them - ENTRY LEVEL - and have returned now as Directors, Permanent Secrtaries(!); the Muslim/Muslim ticket of Moshood Kashimawo Abiola/Baba Gana Kingibe and the recent Muslim/Muslim Chairmanship of the so-called National Transition Committee in which Muhammadu Buhari deliberately brushed his Vice President Professor Oluleke Osinbajo aside, thereby excluding the Christian community in Nigeria of the headship of that so-called national committee.
What is more, since the inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari on May 29th, 2015, the Christians and Southerners have been sleeping and snoring, whilst Buhari the arch agent of Arewa is quietly and steadily making what I'd like to call TELEGRAPHIC APPOINTMENTS OR TELEGRAPHIC RECRUITMENTS, so the Nigerian people don't decode his islamic intent - and all these are in blatant disregard for national inclusivity.
Provocatively, not a single of all the appointments made thus far by this jihadist has come from the South East!
With the exception of the Baptists and the Catholics whose priests/pastors/ministers have been very well trained to have a thorough grounding in all things, in every department of life, believing with ALL CERTAINTY that even though they are not of the world, but being in it they should have encyclopaedic knowledge of their HORIZONTAL RELATIONSHIPS as well as their VERTICAL RELATIONSHIP and MUST subject all things to thorough scrutiny including how their flocks are governed by the secular rulers taking cognizance of the fact, although as an international scholar, I would say arguably, that all authorities are of God, the Baptist ministers in all history are the most vocal against injustices, and they have been doing this across ages by holding Governments and nations accountable for all their actions and inactions whilst governing their people and they providing spiritual governance to their nations - with this little, will you still be at sea as to why Baptists were in the front rank of the pioneers/purveyors of those who stirred up the spirit of the age to rally round other like minds to fight against slavery culminating in actual abolishment of the evil trade?
And what is more, the Baptists had been foermost in the founding of the LIBERATION MOVEMENT - the Civil Rights Movement - Foremost of the 20th Century Civil Rights Activists was a Baptist Minister Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. who in one of his many sermon declared:
"Before I was a civil rights leader, I was a preacher of the Gospel. This was my first calling and it still remains my greatest commitment. You know, actually all that I do in civil rights I do because I consider it a part of my ministry. I have no other ambitions in life but to achieve excellence in the Christian ministry. I don't plan to run for any political office. I don't plan to do anything but remain a preacher. And what I'm doing in this struggle, along with many others, grows out of my feeling that the preacher must be concerned about the whole man."
