THE CHRISTIANS IN MODERN NIGERIA AND THE GREAT COMMISSION…IT’S NOT CHRISTLIKE TO BE LAWLESS!

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature”, Mark 16:15.

All the so-called preachers in Nigeria of today, delivering Inspirational Philosophy, Motivational and Developmental Psychology from the pulpits and calling such self-help as the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and living big at the expense of their very gullible flocks with the money contributed by their congregations as tithes and offering and other type of money they have induced their flocks to give through their sales marketing oratory and through the sales of their rubbish books must be made aware that Christians are not called to be boasting about the place and disrespecting the laws of the land as the African Pentecostal  pastors are want to be doing all the time in the face of glaring poverty and general hardships in the continent, including the prevalent insecurity in every nook and cranny of Nigeria.

SINO-COVID, (ACHANS IN) THE CHURCH AND THE MOSQUE…NOW IS THE TIME TO SHARE THE EXTORTED MONEY AND THE BOUNTIES – DIVIDENDS OF TITHES AND OFFERINGS

Having extorted so much from their gullible customers, it is this writer’s honest opinion that in the Age of SINOVID-19, it will not be a bad idea for all the prosperity preachers and their counterparts – the so-called prayer warriors in the mosque to give each of their flocks/faithful N30,000xx monthly until the pestilence is over. David Oyedepo, especially, in his trademark arrogance does take delight in telling his customers to rid their minds of contribution syndrome. But are Oyedepo and his ilk missing their crowds?

Commercial or business or prosperity or mercantilist or mammonic preachers are not Christians, but what they have been perceived to be by the insightful Nigerian/African and the global publics – nothing but fraudsters, using voodoo, talisman, shaman, magic, juju and other dark powers obtained from the traditional religious priests/priestesses – the medicine men and women (alija, dibia, mama/babalawo) to hoodwink their gullible customers, otherwise known as church members to part away with their money, every means of livelihood, part thereof, their widow’s mite – the last penny in their wallets, purses, bank accounts – home and abroad, even gratuities as a friend’s wife surrendered her gratuity of N 250, 000.00 in the 90s to David Oyedepo’s Winners’ Chapel (Living Faith Church Worldwide) in the name of tithes and offerings, Thanksgivings, pastor’s offerings, building projects, etc.

Prosperity preachers are thus, nothing, but spiritual cannibals, predators, bloody extortioners, cash/money/cheques devouring wolves, bloody exploiters and expropriators, some of mere spiritual scopophiliacs, all reaping where they have not sown.

WHAT OUGHT TO BE THE ROLE OF THE CHURCH IN THE COMMUNITY?

In Nigeria, a street boasts of between 5 - 20 churches owned by different greedy mammonic preachers, but these churches merely exist to extort/collect money from their gullible congregations seeking miracles, signs and wonders, prophecies/predictions about their future, jobs, enemies, business and general well-being, breakthroughs, deliverance to fuel their lavish and unChristlike lifestyles and those of the members of their families. Whereas their European counterparts keep sending to Africa, second-hand clothing – used underwear’s, used bras, used shoes, etc; but they in Africa keep extorting money from their hapless customers in the name of God.

Does not the Gospel of the Kingdom enjoin all believers to bear one another’s burden/s rather than boasting about from one end of the pulpit to another? And the good Lord adds: “By this shall all know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:35.

They unashamedly call Muhammadu Buhari a nepotist and the “most wicked” (so blurted Oyedepo very recently but did not know they are spiritual predators and cannibals) – ha, ha!

Just look at the leadership hierarchies of their BUSINESS PLAZAS, rather the so-called churches – who has been strategically positioned to succeed whom?

And who are the pastors in these commercial churches that have defaced the cityscapes in Nigeria/Africa and abroad?

It is only in Nigeria/Africa that together with the founder/G.O. of a commercial church, all the members of the households are pastors – all members of their nuclear/extended families are all called to be pastors – Papa, Mama, pikin them, their omo odo them, their friends and cronies; and it is only the “yes” people in the church and moneyed people that are given appointments – and the sources of their wealth don’t matter and are not subjected to spiritual scrutiny in any least way; people doing drugs who are members of a given church are merely into powder business, and they are wooed/courted revered Daddies/Mummies or First Ladies and these form the leadership cadre of the church, such as the elders, the diaconate, missionaries, etc – and all of them received the anointing to site their churches in cities, abroad, towns, certainly not in villages, Makoko or other slums and interior villages in Nigeria/Africa.

Also, who are their personal/special/media assistants and private secretaries?

Answer: Their children, brothers, in-laws, concubines, of course!

But can I have these fraudsters read about Mungo Park, Mary Slessor, William and Catherine Booth, Albert Schweitzer, Mother Teresa, etc?

THE CHURCH IN NIGERIA HAS FAILED GOD, THE NATION AND THE NIGERIAN PEOPLE

The current high level of crimes/violence – corruption, terrorism, banditry, armed robbers, kidnappings, prevalence of cults, abductions, prostitutions, child trafficking, modern slavery, etc, all bear witness against these so-called men and women of God that they are preaching the wrong Gospels – marketing, inspirational philosophy, motivational and developmental psychology.

OF WHITEWASHED TOMBS, LAWLESS BIGOTS & RELIGIOUS RASCALS – ADAMU, ARREST ALL RELIGIOUS FOOLS AND FANATICS DISOBEYING GOVERNMENT ORDERS ON SINOVID-19 NOW!
"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean”. Matthew 23:27.

All the religious extortioners defying Government lockdown order on COVID-19 must be arrested immediately.

What do you expect Nigeria to be like when you have the so-called men of God disobeying and encouraging their customers to disobey the laws of the land in the name of Sunday services and Friday prayers?

ANSWER: A Nigeria taken over by corruption of course; and other crimes and violence, whose result is TOTAL ANARCHY as is currently the case!

GLOBAL BIO-SECURITY AND LAWLESS EXTORTIONERS IN THE CATHEDRALS OF SHAME

Rascally David Oyedepo, notorious for his well-known traditional trademark of infantile radicalism, and now a certified nuisance in the body of Christ should look at what tyrant COVID-19 is doing in the West with all their medical, technical and economic might:

THE LOST GOSPEL AND THE LOST MESSAGE OF ISLAM IN NIGERIA

All such lawless Christian and Muslim leaders together with the members of their assemblies should hang their heads in shame!

All humanity is called upon to witness that in some other ways; what have been the problems of Nigeria, have been barren Christianity and hollow Islam.

What is more, adherents of these faiths – Christianity and Islam are the looters, the corrupt - worms, locusts, vultures, political and spiritual predators and destiny cannibals in Nigeria.

In Nigeria, corruption is inherent and an integral part of these two faiths – Christianity and Islam.

And whenever you talk about corruption in Nigeria, you are in a sense talking about Christianity and Islam.

And as far as this writer is concerned, Christianity and Islam have lost their true messages in Nigeria. Therefore, we should be talking about how to reclaim the lost gospel and the lost message of Islam in Nigeria!

RELIGIOUS LEADERS SHOULD BE PARTNERING WITH THE GOVERNMENTS AT ALL LEVELS USING THE 4Es

  • Engage

WHILST THE POLICE SHOULD RELY ON THE 5Es AS BELOW -

  • Enforce (as a last resort).

THE FUTILITY OF GATHERING CROWDS BY THE COMMERCIAL PASTORS. BUT WHERE ARE THE CROWDS NOW?

NOW IS THE TIME FOR SPIRITUAL AWAKENING

The SINOVID, sad as it is, has helped to expose the so-called religious leaders the world over, more so, in Nigeria and Africa as a whole for  their spiritual barrenness, moral hollowness, crass insensitivity, lack of imaginations, creativity, inventiveness, and more as a group of very lawless people, who are not in any least way interested in the salvation of their customers, nor of actually winning souls for Christ, but merely interested in the money they can extort from their clients/customers, using sugar-coated sales strategies to deliver not the truth of the gospel, but inspirational philosophy, motivational philosophy and developmental psychology.

Again, if truth must be told, the true gospel is lost in Nigeria, and indeed, Africa – and all who want to truly, truly follow the Lord Jesus Christ must retrace their steps back to the Cross for the sake of the kingdom of God.

But are the commercial pastors and the commercial prayer warriors (Muslims) missing their crowds, I mean their customers?

ESTABLISHMENT OF NATIONAL OR FEDERAL CHARITIES - QUANGOS

Government should take advantage of the opportunity the global pandemic has offered and set up (quangos) charities in strategic and sensitive areas of the Nigerian life so that people willing and are persuaded out of conviction can send their tithes and perhaps, offerings into the accounts of such charities.

THE BIG QUESTIONS

  • Is crowd gathering the purpose of the gospel
  • Will the crowds return after the universal funeral service for COVID-19?
  • Under the current threats to both national and global security, is crowd gathering for worship advisable?
  • Are these crowd gatherers justified to be causing traffic in cities of Nigeria and Africa through their crowds?
  • But why don’t African pastors site their cathedrals of shame in the interior and remote villages of Nigeria/Africa?

AN INVITATION TO PONDER: A MESSAGE TO THE LAWLESS RELIGIOUS LEADERS AND HEADLINE-HUNTING HUMAN RIGHTS ACTIVISTS

A time of national emergency, more so, global exigency as we are all in now is not to be wasted debating the rightness or wrongness of an action nor is it a time to be asking who is right (?) or who is wrong (?), but to ask what is right (?) – what is the right thing to do (?) or what is the right action to take for the community or the greater or global good?

Country fifle and the global human community, I say: ODERA to all and sundry. Sooner or later, the day will break…Oga di nma-O

Yours in the service of God, our Nigeria and all of humanity.
