And having so re-engineered themselves to become developmental and progressive in nature/outlook – socio-econo-cultural, they should begin immediately to promote same; these gerontocratic political scam should aim not at helping their children/grandchildren/wards and cronies into political appointments, and helping them to get contracts from governments, but at working always towards peaceful co-existence and harmonious relationship of all Nigerians in their various states of domicile – unity, national brotherhood, corporate existence of the Nigerian state – ONE NIGERIA, universal altruism, canvassing and promoting national unity, national consciousness, cultural sensitivity, national integration and cohesion, truth and justice.

What is more, the nation needs to know their sources of funding, current net worth and all they have collected from various – individuals, groups, organizations/institutions, from governments, past and present, etc, since inception – this is the transparency, they have been demanding from successive governments in Nigeria. And it needs be said here that these elders have been pushing young persons to their untimely deaths by encouraging them to issue highly charged and highly imfalmmable press releases and embark on unnecessary street demos, whilst their children and grandchildren/wards are enjoying their loots with Caucasian women in Western nations.

Therefore, to every young Nigerian out there, in a hurry to berth at their life’s port harbours, I say to them thus: SEEK YE FIRST THE FOUNTAIN OF KNOWLEDGE AND THE POLITICAL KINGDOM OF ONE NIGERIA AND ALL OTHER THINGS SHALL BE ADDED UNTO YOU.

ETHNIC VUVUZELAS, NATION BUILDING, NATIONAL UNITY, INTEGRATION AND COHESION

Although I have a major work coming on these unregistered ethnic political parties (UEPP) and pressure groups (PGs), I should like to ask these infantile elders running these associations through undiscerning young people in a hurry to arrive their destination points in life by perching on the political hunchbacks backs of these elders, how many schools, colleges, universities, community/town halls, community libraries, community computer centres, skills academies they have built since inception; how many community roads they have constructed; how bore holes they have dug and donated to communities in their GEOPOLIZONES; how many books and uniforms they have supplied to their local schools, colleges and the universities; how many indigents and brilliant students they have identified over the years and given scholarships’ to; how many sports centres and academies they have built and donated to their POLIGEOZONES; how many rural electrifications they have carried out, charities established, cultural promotions, initiating moral renaissance/national rebirth and a new national morality 

to raise national standards and values and how many inter and intra poligeozonal/geopolizonal cultural festivals, educational and sporting competitions they have organised, etc?

Regarding the much-talked, and written about restructuring, why have they not been any organised debates across the country, any nationwide consultation, referendum or cause such to be included in the constitution instead of resorting to infantile radicalism/purposeless gangsterism and agberorism, malignity and clamouring for secession nonsense now in the twilight of their lives.

THE PRESIDENCY, ETHNIC IRRIDENTISM, PRESSURE GROUPS AND JINGOISTS…THE BATTLE FOR THE SOUL OF ONE NIGERIA

Henceforth, the Presidency should be telling all the existing unregistered ethnic and regional political parties - associations/organizations thus:

• Have you formally notified your elected representatives about restructuring, especially by way of submitting a blueprint for the subject matter?
• HAVE A CHANGE OF STRATEGY/TACTICS/TRAJECTORY…E do, stop heating up the polity all the time.
• Go through your reps to make/present/raise concerns about all your political concerns?
• Imbibe the DELES Principles/philosophy.
• Show us your (progress)/development credentials.
• Mind your business
• Mind your language
• Face your front
• What are your sources of funding?
• Show the Nigerian people your audited accounts for all the years of your ethnic and regional activism – put them in the public domain together with the names of the contributors – individuals, organizations/institutions/mainstream political parties, etc.
• Stop this your needless heating up of the polity, apo, kaji, enu go, O, s’ ogbo?
• LEAVE POLITICS FOR THE POLITICIANS
• If you want to do politics, go and join any of the mainstream parties or organise yourselves to form and register one.

THE PRESS AND NATION BUILDING

The press in Nigeria must help clean up the polity of all the careless and unguarded utterances that do heat up the polity by non-politicians in Nigeria, and they must equally henceforth, endeavour to mope up/vacuum-clean/hoover the pages of their newspapers and magazines of the kobo-kobo press releases from every Omaga and Omagu.

And as we inch closer to 2023, all those who want to massage their egos by endorsing politicians and the registered political parties must pay for such service/s by way of buying adverts spaces.

The press in Nigeria must not so cheapen themselves so every Iya Alata and Iya Oloja or Baba Alata and Baba Oloja can send them kobo-kobo press releases (KKPRs) for publication for kobo-kobo!

The journalist is a reporter, and the reporter is a journalist and not an image make/launderer or PR officers/execs.

Other national and important committees on which Aduma has also served or headed included the National Planning Committee, Youth Development, Federal Ministry of Education and Youth Development, 1993; Core Committee, the Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF)/Ford Foundation, Kano Eastern Bypass Roadside Tree Planting Exercise, 1997; Chairman, Planning Committee, Alhaji Babatunde Jose’s 75^th Birth Day, 2000, (Dr. Jose was a doyen of Nigerian journalism and was the first African Editor, Managing Director and Chairman of the Daily Times of Nigeria Plc); Chairman, Planning Committee of the 7^th and 8^th General Murtala Muhammed’s Memorial Lecture (the late Nigerian Head of State), 2001 and 2002; Chairman, Planning Committee of the Daily Times of Nigeria Plc’s 75^th Anniversary, 2001 including sitting on many national techno-industrial committees (too numerous to mention here) in his capacity then as Executive Secretary, Foundry Association of Nigeria.

Aduma, Communications/Environmental Consultant, Critic, Poet, Essayist, and Columnist, was formerly Staff Reporter, The Guardian (flagship of the Nigerian media) 1990-1993; Consultant/Chairman, Media, Green Environment Movement, Nigeria, 1990-2003; Senior Correspondent, The Independent Weekly, (1993-1994); Head, Environment and Property Desk, The Punch (1994-1997); Editorial Consultant and Contributing Editor, the Nigerian Conservation Foundation’s Tortoise Magazine, 1995; Contributing Editor, Pole Star Magazine (1998); Member, Editorial Board of The Nigerian Conservationist Magazine (1995-2000), Executive Secretary, Foundry Association of Nigeria, (1997-2000), Southern Coordinator/Public Affairs Manager, The Pastoral Resolve, 2000, (a pastoralists NGO) headed by one of Nigeria’s former Head of State), General Muhammadu Buhari, presently, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; and Chairman, Editorial Board of the Daily Times of Nigeria Plc (2000-2003).

He was one of the twelve eminent Nigerians appointed by former President Olusegun Obasanjo (GCFR) of Nigeria into the Administrative Panel of Inquiry, also known variously as Presidential Panel, Commission of Inquiry, respectively to investigate the illegal trade in and smuggling of Endangered Species of Flora and Fauna into and out of Nigeria in 2003.

In year 2003, he attended the Chevening Leadership Programme, (sponsored by the British Council and Shell) at the elite Lagos Business School (the Pan-African University) in Nigeria and thereafter, proceeded to the United Kingdom as a British Chevening Scholar to study International Journalism at City University, London, where he worked for and obtained an MA in International Journalism with specialism in environment.

Between 2005 - 2009 he was Media Director, PRONACO (Pro-National Conference), UK/Europe.

In addition to his array of degrees and extensive experience in journalism, environment, development, international diplomacy and international security, Mr Aduma obtained the AET (Award in Education and Training), Level 3 from CONEL, a Further Education College and member of the Capital City College Group (CCCG), London, including Higher Education courses in Education and Training – the CET (Certificate in Education and Training) Level 4 and the Specialist Diploma in Teaching English: ESOL & Literacy, Level 5 from the same Further Education College, all in 2018.

Aduma is currently a doctoral researcher at SOAS and he is the Chief Executive Officer of VIGILANCE-THE WORLD’S LEADING SECURITY MAGAZINE (www.vigilance-securitymagazine.com) and the founder of Scorpion News Corp (www.scorpionnewscorp.com).
