SERIES: E GO BETTER - O!

“In fact, like their political creator, IBB, they are the bane of our society and the root causes of all that are presently wrong with and in Nigeria. In fact, the current insecurity that is ravaging the country is first and foremost, a non-issue, now made an issue – a non-problem made a problem. As a matter of fact, insincerity and complicity have combined to problematize the problem – a simple matter made complex and intricate!”

“To thy tent O Nigeria!"

Ruminating on the state of things in Nigeria recently whilst I was lall alone in my world philosophizing, especially regarding how the hitherto POLITICAL GARDEN OF EDEN, destined not just to lead all persons of African ancestry, but the world, has now been reduced to a state of nature in perpetual flux, a rogue and failed state, axis of violence and evil, and yet still, a nation at war with itself, I had arrived at the inevitable, but painful conclusion that seven things defined the Nigerian polity and system – and these are:

  1. Unseriousness
  2. Unseriousness
  3. Unseriousness
  4. Unseriousness
  5. Unseriousness
  6. Unseriousness
  7. Unseriousness

And the Nigerian tragedy is made worse by the gross lack of continuity in all things Nigerian, but under the context – the lack of continuity in governance, national dream, vision, goal, mission statement , national action plan (NAP), national plan of action (NPA) and national philosophy, compounded by the yawning lacuna and dislocation in leadership – especially the lack of uninterrupted generational leadership progression, after the abrupt termination of the first Republic on January 15th, 1966 by Major Kaduna Nzeogwu and his gang, and afterwards, forcing a 30-month civil war on Nigeria – and ever since it had been one coup after another until the so-called return to democracy on May 29, 1999.

NEW WINE IN OLD BOTTLE – IBB POLITICIANS (NEW BREEDS) AND THE NATION

It must here be recorded for the children of the future generations of Nigerians that the most brutal and unkindest blow to continuity was by Ibrahim Gbadamosi Babangida - during his experiment in democracy which gave the nation the two identical twin political parties of the National Republican Party (NRC) and the Social Democratic Party, which then stupidly and arrogantly prided itself in the slogan of A LITTLE TO THE RIGHT, A LITTLE TO THE LEFT, but in that ignominious and embarrassing experiment, IBB ‘beheaded’ the past, thus denying both the First and 2nd Republic politicians participation in the political activities of that era, including deny them the chance to stand for elections in 1993 so as to make way for the so-called NEW BREEDS, herein to be referred to by this writer as: IBB POLITICIANS or IBB EAGLETS, or as they were then know: NEW BREED POLITICIANS or just NEW BREEDS – who till date, have suffered retarded growth, hence they have all not grown past the day IBB cultured and created them severally, in his own ignominious political laboratory!

IBB POLITICIANS AND THE NATIONALIZATION OF VIOLENCE AND GENERAL INSECURITY IN NIGERIA…THE PROBLEMATIZATION OF A NON-PROBLEMATIC PROBLEM

All those who cut their teeth in politics, courtesy of IBB’s political experiment and arrangement – NRC and SDP, which deleted the old politicians from the nation’s political template till the very present are to be classified here as IBB or NEW BREED POLITICIANS, and like their political creator, they are worse than worms, maggots, locusts, vultures and savage wolves put together.

In fact, like their political creator, IBB, they are the bane of our society and the root causes of all that are presently wrong with and in Nigeria. In fact, the current insecurity that is ravaging the country is first and foremost, a non-issue, now made an issue – a non-problem made a problem. As a matter of fact, insincerity and complicity have combined to problematize the problem – a simple matter made complex and intricate!

NATIONAL MONEY SHARERS AND THEIR WASTED EFFORTS

These lootocrats and kleptocrats, after they have played locusts on our commonwealth and shared all our national entitlements amongst themselves are now deceiving the Nigerian people, crisscrossing the length and breadth of the NIBE FEDERATION in the name of CONTSITUTION REVIEW. But by the time they all and their creators and benefactors sit down for a genuine soul-searching, they will discover that they indeed, and not the toilet tissue which pass for the constitution are the REAL PROBLEMS OF NIGERIA – and not the constitution per se! So, how else can these kobo-kobo politicians show they are working, serving the Nigerian people and not just siddon the look like Lukman and ‘tanda like Atanda?

Of a truth, that so-called constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under reference (1999) looks and reads like a pre-historic document, and at once, a medieval statute book, thoroughly archaic, obsolete, antediluvian, medievalist, chauvinistic, patriarchal and misogynistic in nature, and wears an air of arrogancy, as a Christian Saint does wear the crucifix, and with an ultra-conservative mindset fraught with lies and a great deal of deception unequalled in modern times.

In every respect, it is a condemnable anti-women sharia manual, displaying unparalleled gender insensitivity, having and abysmally reflecting the world view of the Hausa/Fulani people, promoting this world view of theirs, their Movement and values above all else, including above other faiths and all other ethnic nationalities within the Nigerian Federation - and where its preamble opens with: "We the people...what it in fact, means is: NOT WE THE NORTH, BUT WE THE HAUSA AND FULANI PEOPLE…

It's anti-women and generally, anti-gender sentiment and posturing are evident in its deliberate and pervasive resort to using the third person pronoun "he" - an exhumation of sociological and anachronistic generic of bygone years to denote all flesh in the era of de-sex grammar! The resort to the antiquated use of generic pronoun "he" makes it read like an ancient text/scroll or tablet excavated from a mountainous sand dune in the Arabian desert.

This Fulbe/Fulani constitution excitedly exhibits this ignominy in virtually all of its dubious pages as if it were out to indeed, unashamedly declare to our beloved women constituency, I mean all of our womenfolk have become in the whole of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, meaning the world of Nigeria can only contain men or is meant only for men, and also, cutting off trans-genders and all those who are unable to determine their gender.

This highly exclusive gender narrative text (EGNT), rather than being an inclusive gender narrative text (IGNT) or a de-sexed text (DST) is a very serious disaster which tends to convey a wrong message to the world/all of humanity and posterity there's no room for women in Nigeria, having been all, severally consigned to the kitchen, their eternal dwelling place as commanded by that medieval potentate and his ilk – the Vampire of Daura, Taliban Muhammadu Buhari.

Everything in that ‘6th century’ medieval testament is about "he" to the exclusion of the "She"-constituency, nor does it deem it fit to adopt a middle ground of "he/she" or replace the third person pronounce "he" with the inclusive "they".

EXAMPLE

Section 26 of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as quoted below starts with a "person to whom...", and thereafter replaces the noun "person" with the pronoun "he" all through.

  1. (1) Subject to the provisions of section 28 of this Constitution, a person to whom the provisions of this section apply may be registered as a citizen of Nigeria, if the President is satisfied that -

                    (a) he is a person of good character;

                    (b) he has shown a clear intention of his desire to be domiciled in Nigeria; and

                    (c) he has taken the Oath of Allegiance prescribed in the Seventh Schedule to this Constitution.

CORRECTION OPTIONS

OPTION A - as in (a) above: he/she or s/he is a person of good character

OPTION B - using the same sentence should appropriately read: "They are a person of good character, where the third person pronoun, which ordinarily refers to plural, is now functioning as a singular pronoun because of the singular noun "person" as shown in the phrase -  a "person to whom..."

OPTION C - Had the pronoun above in Section 26 of the constitution read: "persons to whom...", the bracketed sentences above would then read as below:

The many glaring weaknesses of this Arewa or rather the Fulani-Hausa Planogram accounted for the reason Sharia marched unchallenged into the House of Nigeria, tying one General Olu Obasanjo hand and mouth, and excised nine States from the hither Federal Republic of Nigeria to form the Islamic Republic of Nigeria, O no, Nigeriaghanistan with Petro-dollar money from the Gulf States/the East, generally, yet these Islamic Republic of Nigeriaghanistan are still depending for their survival from the allocations from the Federal Republic of Nigeria, where from they had excised themselves. But can anyone outa there tell these Nigeriaghanistans: YOU CANNOT EAT YOUR CAKE AND HAVE IT BACK?

                    (a) he is a person of good character;

THEY ARE PERSONS OF GOOD CHARACTER/S;

                    (b) he has shown a clear intention of his desire to be domiciled in Nigeria; and

AND THEY HAVE SHOWN A CLEAR INTENTION OF THEIR DESIRE TO BE DOMICILED IN NIGERIA;

Or AND THEY HAVE SHOWN CLEAR INTENTIONS OF THEIR DESIRE TO BE DOMICILED IN NIGERIA;

                    (c) he has taken the Oath of Allegiance prescribed in the Seventh Schedule to this Constitution.

THEY HAVE TAKEN THE OATH OF ALLEGIANCE PRESCRIBED IN THE SEVENTH SCHEDULE TO THIS CONSTITUTION.

In all these renditions, OPTION B is the most appropriate and most inclusive taking care of all sorts of genders that there are these days in our current crazy world with zero morality.

 In fact, the Fulbe/Arewa book of idiocy is plagued with many incurable diseases, exposing the numerous fault lines that abound in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, hence it merits being referred to disdainfully as: the sick book, the Peacock Law or the Peacock Statue Book, the Fulbe Testament, the Book of Arrogance, The Idiot’s Guide to Nepotism, the Book of Nepotism, the Jihadi Master Plan, the Hausa/Fulani Plan of Action, or the Hausa/Fulani Action Plan or the Hausa Fulani Blueprint or the UTMAN DAN FODIO BOOK FOR THE RECONFIGURING OF NIGERIA or THE SHARIA DOCUMENT or THE SHARIA MANUAL or THE SHARIA HAND BOOK.

Whilst expressing shio as my utter disdain for this rubbish/garbage, good only for the trashcan, can all the women in Nigeria rise up as one people and join with me to call for the de-sexsization and actual binning of this Sharia Formula with a view to coming up with a new - the real people’s constitution, eventuating in a NEW FEDERAL STRUCTURE?

 TO THY TENTS, O NIGERIANS! TO THY TENTS, O NIGERIANS! TO THY TENTS, O NIGERIANS!

Now that the clamour for the break-up of Nigeria has reached its crescendo, and like everything Nigerian, in just a matter of time, every family in Nigeria will start demanding their own country/republic, but before that time of scatteration, and every family having their own country/republic comes, can anyone out there who still has ears to hear, listen to the wisdom of General Adebayo Adeyinka as below and please read the full text in Vanguard via the link below?

“I need not tell you what horror, what devastation and what extreme human suffering will attend the use of force. When it is all over and the smoke and dust have lifted, and the dead are buried, we shall find, as other people have found, that it has all been futile, entirely futile, in solving the problems we set out to solve.”

- General Adebayo Adeyinka
