Having written on what the true gospel is many times over in discussing the prevalent crowdmaniac-mammonic gospel as being proclaimed by the nation’s and indeed, Africa’s churchpreneurs, today I would focus on the fact that proactive policing means, the IGP and his team must beam their searchlight on the distortion of erstwhile national values by these cassockpreneurs and their ilk, including their unbridled dissipated lifestyles.

They have not only deceived their very gullible flocks to part away with their ‘widows mite’, but have confused and corrupted generations of young Nigerians since the inglorious years of the Ibrahim Gbadamosi Babangida who both with his wife introduced the Babangido-Maryamic values of MONEY FOR HAND, BACK FOR GROUND, a.k.a. SETTLEMENT.

The era of SETTLEMENT contributed to contaminating/polluting/diluting every sub-national space – religion/spirituality, in addition to taking Nigerians – young or old, off the then traditional and much cherished values of hard work, contentment, self-reliance, integrity, honesty, godliness (genuine fear of God), and introducing them to seek ephemeral values – unwarranted acquisitiveness, whereupon every Nigerian now moves from one cathedral of condemnation – shosh (church) to another, from one moshalashi (mosque) to another, from one crusade ground to another seeking not God, but miracles, breakthroughs, signs and wonders, predictions for their businesses, their future and what a given new year has in store for them (a direct carry over from African traditional religion to contaminate the true Gospel), with Mbaka Loudmouth as the pre-eminent predictor!

Kwenskwently (Consequently), the recent judgement by the apex court in Nigeria entrusting the roaring of the Imo State Boat to Hope Uzodinma must be viewed with utmost suspicion as it tended to follow Father Loudmouth’s prediction. Need I then now call on both the apex Catholic body in Nigeria and the Bishop of Rome to kindly help return Mbaka Vuvuzela to his FATHER’S BUSINESS immediately before he is consumed by the Lord’s fury, just as it is now high time too for that Esau of Ogba, Tunde Bullion to be about his FATHER’S BUSINESS and leave politics for the politicians.

Similarly, the IGP and his officers should beam their searchlight on their Muslim counterparts – the so-called prayer warriors, who usually collect N250 million for just a fifteen minute-prayer session, and such others as Alfas, mullahs, marabous, sheiks as well as traditional medicine practitioners who are using human beings for sacrifices on behalf of their equally greedy, wicked, purposeless, lazy and very indolent clients, seeking money, fame and power – amongst whom are politicians and all who patronise them to get rich quick, those looking for the fruits of the womb, those who want unearned fame, power, those who want myriads of women to be following them about or rushing them whenever and wherever they appear in a public space, etc, etc.

Henceforth, the police must raid their shrines of blood, occult groves, and other supposedly hallowed places, mosques and churches, temples, synagogues and lodges which they have all conspired to desecrate and turned from houses of prayers and meditation into DENS OF ROBBERS AND MURDERRERS.

HOW THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT CAN HOLD CHURCHES AND MOSQUES OWNERS TO ACCOUNT…NOW IS THE TIME FOR THE NEW AGE CHURCH AND THE MOSQUE TO START PAYING TAXES

WHY THE CHURCH AND MOSQUE MUST NOW PAY TAX TO THE GOVERNMENT OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA

ESSENTIALITY OF ACCOUNTABILITY IN FAITH SHRINES

All the three-tiers of Government must have representatives on the boards of these crowd-gathering mega churches and mosques, who all without exception, are interested only in soul gathering and not in soul management.

But who audits these profligate white-whited sepulchres which pass for the church of Jesus Christ?

In addition to having representatives on the Boards of these so-called Pentecostal churches, Government and civil society organizations, constituting private auditors must as a matter of fact, investigate and audit their accounts regularly on behalf of the people, whose money they have through hallucinations, abracadabra and voodoo stolen from them.

The IGP, the national parliament and the Federal Government MUST henceforth hold them to account for every kobo they have been collecting/extorting from their equally greedy and very selfish flocks and also, must begin to show keen interest in their ostentatious lifestyles, asking them to cut down their lifestyles by querying, warning them of such obscene extravagances, fixing their monthly salaries and asking them to become like the founder of their faith and cut down on their rotten and larger than life, lifestyles.

The EFCC and ICPC must not concentrate on politicians alone but must spread their tentacles to every sub-national space as above, including others.

Traditional medicine practitioners and every petty trader in Nigeria must register their trades/businesses for purpose of annual accounting and taxation, with each having a registered accountant and auditors to kick-start the fiscal or systemic discipline that is thoroughly lacking within the Nigerian system – and all citizens must show proofs of addresses, bills, tax payments and proofs of having discharged their other obligations to the state whenever they need anything from the Government, including opening of accounts, renting accommodation, and having guarantors for any transactions within the Nigerian state – for this is how responsible and serious nations hold their citizens to account and subsequently help to in no small measure, reduce crimes in society.

FIGHTING CRIMES IN NIGERIA…THE LINK BETWEEN A SOCIETY’S PREVAILING/MUCH EXPRESSED VALUES AND CRIMES

In fighting crimes in Nigeria, creativity and intelligence gathering are generally lacking. Thus, agencies of Government must widen their nets as most churches, mosques and business houses have been established primarily for money laundry, doing drugs or what some pastors refer to as “powders”.

Listen to one at a ‘church’ in Olodi Apapa: “They say my son in the Lord is selling powder. This is how they discourage people whom God has raised to be supporting His works. Instead of sitting down and criticising, why can’t you too go and sell powder so that you can pay your tithes and offering and support the work of God where He has planted you?”

Whilst they are religious terrorists in mosques, with some being the ones recruiting for the bush and forest terrorists (Boko, Ansaru, ISWAP, Al Qaeda in the Maghreb), etc; in churches there are financial terrorists, mindless fraudsters, money launderers, dupers, etc!

Unarguably, all these ignominious elements of society in sheep’s clothing, are in fact, the ones who have in no small measure, contributed to the current level of intractable crimes in Nigeria, and it is high time the police went after them immediately.

DAVID OYEDEPO AND THE SANCTUARY THIEVES – TALES OF THE COMPLAINANT AS THE JUDGE…NOT TO REPORT A CRIME IS A CRIME IN ITSELF!

Lest I forget, in what ways are the thieves David Oyedepo dismissed recently from his factory established with people’s money different to himself – and why did he not hand them over to the state – the police, for he so has a duty to do as a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria?

In all realms and climes, including Nigeria, criminals of whatever hues don’t live in the sky, they live on earth in known hideouts, hotels, motels, brothels, B&Bs, Lodging and Accommodation, Guest Houses, cemeteries/grave yards, under flyover bridges, market places and sleep on market stalls, creeks, canals, shanties, makeshift houses, abandoned buildings, uncompleted buildings, new and unoccupied buildings, unoccupied buildings generally, village streams, rivers, farmlands, inside forests, forest reserves, camps, shrines, inside churches and mosques, broken down vehicles, construction/building sites, police and military barracks, mammy markets, unroofed building, tarpaulins, sleep inside trailers, buses, in garages, motor parks, in palaces, in state houses, beer parlours, pubs, bars, rental accommodation, known to their landlords, so all landlords must not only have detailed reports/profiles of their tenants, but must be held to account and are as guilty as tenants who live in their houses and do crimes of all sorts; and who in most cases are known, especially to the police in Nigeria and other security agencies who in fact, form the network of the present crimedemic and violencedemic in Nigeria, whether organised or unorganised, whether serious or unserious.

In most cases, it is in fact, the police and the other security agencies, cutting across ranks, who do supply them weapons and accoutrements together with crime maps and targets – those they could hit or visit or waylay on the highways, bush paths, etc, including giving them their itinerants.

THE JOHN ADUMA DOCTRINE OF VICARIOUS RESPONSIBILITY (JADOVRES) – ALL PERSONS/INSTITUTIONS/COMMUNITY/CULTURE/LGA DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY CONNECTED TO A CRIMINAL ARE AS GUILTY OF THE CRIME COMMITTED AS THE CRIMINAL

When a VIP is attacked, robbed or killed in Nigeria, the police/security personnel attached to them must be the first accused persons, and in cases, where these VIPs survived the attacks, robberies and kidnappings, etc, they themselves too, should form part of the first accused persons, because most of these attacks on VIPs or kidnappings are arranged kidnappings/robberies/attacks to get money from the Government of the day, who may be forced to cough out ransom; to blackmail the Government of the day by the opposite parties, for insurances purposes, etc.

This type of monkey tricks were very rampart during the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan era, and this writer never failed to point it out to the Government at the time, and it is currently the practice in this Government – this is a situation where private citizens or Government or political officials or traditional rulers, etc, fake their kidnappings to force out ransom from the Government of the day or the relevant authorities, which they afterwards, share with their abductors and kidnappers!

Crimes in Nigeria don’t just happen, there are networks of crimes and syndicated crimes – police are involved; VIPs are involved; politicians are involve; traditional rulers of all cadres are involved; elites are involved; students are involved; prostitutes are involved; Mamaputs/Papaputs (food vendors) are involved; boyfriends/girlfriends are involved; Nollywood actors and actresses are involved; lecturers and teachers are involved; the business and the professional communities are involved; captains of industries are involved, parents, children and adult, pastors and imams are involved; civil servants are involved; those in the Presidency are involved; emirs, Obas, traditional medicine practitioners, chiefs of various cadres, etc, are involved!

Patriotic security agencies, if there are still any such, must therefore, widen their tentacles, use a more powerful ‘binoculars’ and adopt the JOHN ADUMA HELICOPTER APPROACH(JAHA) in looking for criminals with a view to fishing them out to face the wrath of the law from wherever they abound in society, so don’t look at crimes as only being committed by the hapless, jobless and highly impoverished persons.

FAILING TO REPORT A CRIME IS A CRIME IN ITSELF!

Therefore, Oyedepo as a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has the statutory obligation to report crimes to the police, wherever such crimes have occurred, more so, in his immediate CHURCHDUSTRIAL ESTATE, otherwise known as Canaan Land, and having failed to so do, the state must arrest him for failing to so involve the police in the matter under the guise that God says he should forgive.

Whilst he might have forgiven the church thieves, the state must step in to bring them to justice by prosecuting them on behalf of the Nigerian people and the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

And David Oyedepo himself must be arrested immediately for questioning by the Office of the IGP in Abuja to show the seriousness of the magnitude of his failing to report crimes in his immediate policing environment or is Canaan Land now a Republic of its own?

Henceforth, there must be a monthly briefing of all the security chiefs, including the Minister of the Interior before the nation’s Parliament select committees – that is before the two Houses select committees on security and defence, including the defence ministers – this must be done separately as well as the Parliament summoning the President to the Parliament on quarterly basis to address a joint sitting of the Upper and the Lower Houses on the state of the nation, with emphasis on the burning issues of the day - security and defence or as the case may be.

Henceforth, the President must begin to address the nation on either weekly or monthly basis.

Muhammadu Buhari remains the most unscrutinised person by both the home and international media, and henceforth, he must be giving weekly interviews to the Press in Nigeria on the state of the nation, mark the phrase, THE PRESS IN NIGERIA a there is not yet THE NIGERIAN PRESS OR THE NIGERIA MEDIA, but THE MEDIA IN NIGERIA, including projects and policies, those done and those his Government has failed to do and why?

The press in Nigeria must wake up and be alive to their responsibility in holding the Government, its agencies, institutions, security chiefs, ministers and other political officials to account. For example, in an atmosphere of glaring nepotism, what’s the use having and keeping the so-called Federal Character Commission; in a situation of high level of corruption amongst political officials and individuals, what is the point of having and keeping the so-called Code of Conduct Bureau; in a situation of pervasive primordial hate and prejudices cum absence of national integration and cohesion, what is the point having and keeping that old and useless ‘national museum’ called the National Orientation Agency, and why are the press not holding the minsters of the interior, defence and all the security chiefs to account on behalf of the people and the Nigerian state in the face of current threats to national security?
