NDIGBO’S QUEST FOR ETHNIC SUPREMACY AND HOW THEY GOT SHOT IN THE FOOT

In the beginning, the Igbos ravenously and aggressively too, swallowed up every available national space in the Nigerian Federation, and like the Octopus, they equally spread their tentacles to rake in every available private and ethnic space until they were halted by the intractable tide of July 29, 1966, courtesy of the instructions/directive from palaces up North, with Major T.Y. Danjuma and his bestial gang who under the influence of Bacchic enthusiasm went about on the crest of that intractable tidal waves, swept every Ndigbo on sight into the valley of death, leading to the volcanic eruptions of *6 July, 1967, which from July 29 of 1966 spewed up molten magmas that led to that national implosion that lasted 30 months.

PERSECUTION OF NDIGBO THEN

“From June through October 1966, pogroms in the North killed an estimated 80,000 to 100,000 Igbo, half of them children, and caused more than a million to two million to flee to the Eastern Region.^[78] 29 September 1966, was considered the worst day; because of massacres, it was called 'Black Thursday'.

Ethnomusicologist Charles Keil, who was visiting Nigeria in 1966, recounted: “The pogroms I witnessed in Makurdi, Nigeria (late Sept. 1966) were foreshadowed by months of intensive anti-Ibo and anti-Eastern conversations among Tiv, Idoma, Hausa and other Northerners resident in Makurdi, and, fitting a pattern replicated in city after city, the massacres were led by the Nigerian army. Before, during and after the slaughter, Col. Gowon could be heard over the radio issuing 'guarantees of safety' to all Easterners, all citizens of Nigeria, but the intent of the soldiers, the only power that counts in Nigeria now or then, was painfully clear. After counting the disemboweled bodies along the Makurdi road I was escorted back to the city by soldiers who apologised for the stench and explained politely that they were doing me and the world a great favor by eliminating Igbos.”

PERSECUTION OF NDIGBO NOW – ECHOES OF THE 60s

As reported in Vanguard of 2 September, 2019, Chief Nnolim Okafor decried the precarious plight of Ndigbo in Gboko, Benue State, a situation which echoes the past as captured by Mr. Keil above: “There’s no week an Igbo person is not kidnapped or murdered in Benue State and we have been subjected to paying millions of naira in ransoms. We can no longer do our businesses freely for fear of being kidnapped or murdered. Since January this year, we have had over 50 Igbos kidnapped and some murdered in cold blood by bandits and suspected herdsmen.”

EVEN IN THEIR OWN PART OF NIGERIA

As a matter of fact, after J.T.U. Aguiyi Ironsi, Ndigbo never again had any very senior military officer in the military until the 1990s, in the person of Major-General OMAR SANDA Ike Nwachukwu, who is both Igbo and Fulani.

General Nwachukwu shed tears about this glaring injustice against his people at the NYSC Secretariat, Akpakpava in Benin City, former Bendel State in 1990 before a gathering of young Nigerians, amongst whom was this writer.

A Candid Note to ‘Most Excellent’ Theophilus

Excellency,

Once again, need I remind you too that the culture of obscene wealth – wealth without sweating (wws) or wealth without working (www) is the reason for the dumbing down of professionalism in the military, corruption, epidemic of violence (crimes) and by extension, the country as a whole.

Successive generation of officers cannot concentrate to pursue their careers in the military, para-military and police any longer because your wealth, Olu Obasanjo’s and the OLUSEGUN OBASANJO-MADE 25 BILIIONAIRES, hereinafter to be referred to as OBANJO-CROOKS 25, courtesy of the nyama-nyama privatization and money for hand, back for ground syndrome (MHBGS), the late General Shehu Musa Yar’ Adua’s (General Yar’ Adua’s businesses took more than half of the Warri Port when he was alive), Ibrahim Babangida’s, General Sani Abacha’s, Abdulsalam Abubakar’s, David Mark’s, Buba Maruwa’s, Atiku Abubakar’s – that PRIVATIZATION TERRORIST, and that pretender to integrity, Muhammadu Buhari’s, etc, etc, are a very, very bad precedence to generations of officers and men after you, and to the coming generations of the military.

The twilight Apostle/Evangelist/Preacher/Pastor/Man of God, His Grace, Brother, General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma; a visit to General Ishola Williams for a one-second lesson on morality, consciencism, decency, godliness with contentment (1 Timothy 6:6), moderation, universal altruism, military ethics and professionalism may turn you into a Zacchaeus!

It is no longer news that Canon/Monsignor Theo is said to be worth $1.2 billion.

What a bonanza he has fallen into, but how did he come about these huge mountains of filthy lucre?

More, on that Day…on that Day…on that Day – even the Day of the Lord, will Brother Theo and his cohorts be able to face their Lord and Master, Jesus and said to Him: LORD, OUR HANDS ACTUALLY GOT US THE MAMMON?

Also, will Pope Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma be expectant on his way home by singing this song:

“One glorious morning, I shall see my saviour

One glorious morning, bye and bye…”; on his way Home?

Because I know, Archbishop Theo Takum cannot so be expectant and sing thus, a Voice from the Excellent Glory echoes across the vista of time:

Whilst Brother Theo’s ‘marriage’ to the descendants of Uthman Dan Fodio lasted before it was circumstantially dissolved recently in the Karmic Court of the Universe (KCoU), having broken down irretrievably, Apostle T.Y. Danjuma wasn’t man enough to display his Christian name/credentials for fear of losing the crumbs that fell from his ‘husbands’ tables at GIDA USUMAN DAN FODUYE, where he and Super/Arch-Apostle Olu Obasanjo were mere plate-licking senior dogaris, promoting FULANIZATION, HAUSANIZATION, KANURINIZATION, AREWANIZATION, SHARINIZATION, GAMJISM AND ARABISM, and helping to restructure our Nigeria the Arewa-Arab way!

As a matter of fact, until very, very recently, not many a Nigerian knew our twilight Apostle was a Christian.

Many actually had thought Brother Danjuma was a Muslim. Then this writer couldn’t convince many a Nigerian that Evangelist Theo is in fact, a Christian.

This cowardice of our dear treacherous Theo made that seer and prophet, Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu to call him a “coward”!

T.Y. DANJUMA: A GENERAL BOUND TO VERBAL VIOLENCE AS WELL AS PHYSICAL VIOLENCE

Evangelist Theophilus Yakubu’s love with mind-wounding, mind-wrenching violent words, phrases and metaphors show him as a man without proper home training, moral and Christian upbringing, for apart from alluding to Ironsi as “useless” and proceeding therefrom to describe him as a DESK CLERK HEAD OF STATE, had in the past referred to journalists in Nigeria as HUNGRY FLIES at a time too that one Olu Obasanjo was snatching and smashing cameras from photo journalists. Ironically, both national crooks are today headline hunters.

His interviews with journalists always show him as a deluded maniac with a severe case of delusion of grandeur, thoroughly disdainful of facts and disrespectful of everybody, excepting GENERAL T.Y. DANJUMA.

Although he was to later apologise to the journalists in Nigeria for calling them HUNGRY FLIES, he still sees them as 500, 000, 000 steps below the almajiris in his social ladder/scale/status, hence he has consistently treated the history of a great nation – Nigeria before them with utter disregard, disrespect for both the nation, the Nigerian people, the world and all of humanity – more so, his HUNGRY FLIES.

If Major-General John Thomas Umunakwe Aguiyi Ironsi, in Danjuma’s reckoning, was indeed, a USELESS AND DESK CLERK HEAD OF STATE; God, the present generation of Nigerians and posterity, after having known the facts of Ironside’s and FAF’s gruesome death in the hands of the wild animals of July 29, 1966 that alongside T.Y. conspired to lead both men to their unkind and untimely death, would not hesitate to label Lt. General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma as a mere fiendish and heartless FILE-CARRYING-TREACHEROUS CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF (COAS).

As an officer and a gentleman, T.Y. ought to have known that military ethics forbid such verbal violence, more in a profession where hierarchy is very much observed and respected, hence he ought not to have so rubbished his late Supreme Commander.

Also, as a Christian, does Brother Theo ever care for the feelings of Lady Victoria Aguiyi Ironsi, her children, grandchildren and other members of the Aguiyi family and the people of Ibeku?

NIGERIA: A NATION RULED BY CROOKS

WHY NIGERIAN YOUTHS ARE REVOLTING BY EMBRACING CRIMES, TRIBAL MILITIA BUSINESSES, BANDITRY BUSINESSES, PROTESTS, CULTISM, TERRORISM, ETC.

“I hear your country is ruled by crooks,” a Brit had said to this writer a few years ago.

And another also said to him: “Nigeria is an evil country.”

Whilst other young Nigerians are into all sorts of crimes – youth violence right now, especially kidnappings; armed robbery; killings; cultism; terrorism; drug trafficking; human trafficking; prostitution; rape; the so-called banditry (Islamist armed robbers sourcing funds for Boko Haram and other terrorists); vandalism; ethnic militia; illegal bunkering, etc, etc, because of such national crooks as T.Y. Danjuma, Olusegun Obasanjo, Ibrahim Gbadamosi Babangida, Abdulsalami Abubakar, Atiku Abubakar, another Fulani irredentist, worse than Muhammadu Buhari; Sani Abacha, Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola, Mike Adenuga, Orji Kalu, Obot Godswill Akpabio, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Aliko Dangote whose wealth too like those of the other crooks is not through hard work/sweat, but a consolidated one, merely trading for the crooks in the four corners of Nigeria; the so-called prosperity pastors and Muslim clerics/imams, who parade themselves as prayer warriors – the marabouts at the corridors of power, etc, the children and grand-children of these crooks too are multi-billionaires/millionaires whilst yet in their teens and upward – already directors and owners of companies, wealth and enterprises thrust upon them courtesy of their privileged births – a sort of wealth I do often refer to as WEALTH WITHOUT WORKING/SWEATING (www/wws).

Thus, the hapless children (youth) of the poor who cannot access the national treasury to steal using their pens or buy public utilities at give-away prices like Atiku Abubakar and the other crooks, have decided to partake of the so-called “national cake” through involvement in violence/fraud – and all sorts of crimes, by staying on the roads, waters, creeks, canals, forests to waylay people so as to take/collect their own shares of the ‘national cake’ – and just very soon, these crooks who think they have escaped to the sky/air with their so-called private jets bought not through the dint of hard work/sweats, but by defrauding the nation will soon learn the hardest way that there is no Nigerian space that is safe – land, water and air/sky/clouds – and this will remain so until there is a re-arrangement of family and national values – the good old days of contentment with what you had - hard work, honesty, unimpeachable integrity, where good name mattered with the dicta: A GOOD NAME IS BETTER THAN RICHES, HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY, TELL THE TRUTH AND SHAME THE DEVIL and parents/guardians would always remind their children/wards to KEEP THE GOOD NAME OF THE FAMILY; REMEMBER THE SON/DAUGHTER OF WHO YOU ARE; DON’T DO ANYHTING TO TARNISH THE GOOD NAME OF THE FAMILY; WE MAY NOT BE RICH, BUT WE ARE CONTENTED AND WHAT MATTERS IS THAT WE HAVE OUR PEACE; YOU ARE THE MIRROR OF YOUR HOME/FAMILY; YOU ARE AN AMBASSADOR OF YOUR HOME; A GOOD CHILD IS A GOOD CITIZEN – also, whereupon children/adults alike were asked by their loved ones: WHERE DID YOU GET THIS FROM? HOW DID YOU COME ABOUT SO AND SO? I BEG TAKE IT BACK, NO COME PUT US FOR TROUBLE, etc.

But today, not so any more, as it is now: WE GO WASHAM-O, even if you have just killed to possess whatever it is; NA THIS ONE DEM THE CALL MIRACLE, DE MAN OF GOD GO GET HIS OWN PASTOR’S PORTION; NA GOD’S BLESSING; GOD DONE BUTTER MY BREAD, I MUST DO THANKSGIVING IN CHURCH; GO AND BRING MY OWN; AS I DEY SUFFER DEY TRAIN YOU SO, IF GOD MAKE YOU GO UP THERE, NO RETURN COME TELL ME ALUTA-O OR I GO KILL YOU, KILL MYSELF; NO GO DEY DO ALUTA, WHILST OTHERS DEY CHOP-O; ME TOO GO TAKE MY OWN, ABI NA ME KILL JESUS? WHAT MATTER BE SAY I GO PAY MY TITHE FROM HERE, GIVE OFFERING AND GIVE THE MAN OF GOD HIM PORTION, etc, etc!

What is more, the Nigerian society has been reprogrammed/recalibrate/recloned around these crooks such that every national space has been hijacked by all these rotten eggs, their families, their gang members, cronies and foreign collaborators cum expropriators/predators. Therefore, fellow Nigerians, we would all be getting it wrong when we blame everything on joblessness, and I dare say, a conclusion such as this will make it impossible for all of us to collectively find cures or solutions to the current socio-politico-cultural and economic malaise.

Also, such social occasions as weddings, church services, naming ceremonies, house warming ceremonies, including even burial ceremonies are now times to display their ill-gotten wealth by parading their toys – such iron toys as obscene cars, private jets – and with respect to private jets, a wedding occasion celebrated by the children/wards/relations of these crooks will witness between 17 private jets and over 35 jets in a country, which does not produce even tooth picks, where many go hungry all day; rummage the trashcans looking for foods; their fellow Nigerians are being detained by hospitals managements for their inability to pay their hospital bills; hospitals without equipment; salaries not paid – fashionable now not to pay salaries; children are out of schools because their parents can’t pay the crazy fees charged by governments and their fellow crooks on the pulpits, who are the owners of these schools, colleges and the universities; pupils learning under trees; schools flooded and children swept away by the intractable floods whenever it rains; where pensions are not paid; no electricity and drinkable pipe borne water in town, cities and of course, in the villages of some of these crooks; no ambulances to convey the sick and pregnant women in labour to give birth in hospitals; patients needing urgent/emergency medical attention due to their deteriorating conditions, but can’t get; police are ill-kitted and equipped, etc, etc.

Still on the very obscene and extravagant weddings of the children/wards of these worms and vultures, they consider our Nigeria so dirty and very low, hence they often rush to the now WEDDING CENTRE FOR NIGERIAN LOOTERS AND THEIR CHILDREN/WARDS – DUBAI, to hold such weddings just as every meeting/summit and conference is now held there, a place which only yesterday was a desert.

Worrisome also, is the fact that those dunderheads of a crook such as Femi Otedola would like to display their fake large-heartedness, when in fact, they are looking for headlines by paying the ‘eye/s’ of an ant/ which is/are the bill/s for such hapless patients for what is now known in Nigeria as MEDICAL VACATION, courtesy of the HOUSE OF STRIFE OR HOUSE OF DISCORD OR HOUSE OF CONFLICT – otherwise known as the Presidency, which also, by my reckoning is Nigeria’s BIG RUGA – yet it has not done on these fools and crooks to pool resources together and build a comprehensive hospital so those they have all ‘cannibalized’ and helped to impoverish can go for medical attention.
