NOT MY PRESIDENT

A tainted ‘President-elect’ cannot be my President,

A ‘President-elect’ with many question marks on his head

cannot be my President;

A ‘President-elect’ with such an unparalleled level

of reputational deficit cannot be my President;

A Bullion Van President cannot be my President.

Iscariot of Iragbiji and Barabbas of Bourdillon cannot be my President,

A vagabond and a wayfarer can never be my President,

A man of no fixed address can never be my President,

A self-proclaimed godfather turning himself

to God cannot be my President;

A tribal bigot, hedonist and a narcissist who thinks money is everything:

the measure of value,

the only measure of success,

is community,

the world;

humanity,

truth,

And the legal tender in the truth economy

certainly, cannot be my President.

A man of such a questionable pedigree can never,

ever be my President

And even if he is the President of all Nigeria,

All Africa, all the world and all of humanity.

A man who companies with all the blood-sucking demons of our time

Should not be anyone’s President,

except it be for birds of the same feather to flock together.

A thoroughly blood-soaked hand ever on ‘high’

should never have to be a nation’s President,

excepting that such a nation is completely

mired in corruption and totally lacking

integrity and national standards due to

its abysmal level of zero morality.

But can corruption fight corruption

And heal corruption, and redeem corruption

or rid the land of corruption?

A man who revels in conquering people

and snatching their inheritances from them

to enrich himself, family and cronies

shouldn’t be any nation’s President

or any people’s President.

A mindless prodigal must never ever be anyone’s President.

A man of no conscience must never be

allowed to step into that once hallowed ground of service.

A man who breeds thugs and nurtures

Street urchins whom he commissions on treasonous errands -

ballots-snatching, should never be allowed

a trillion miles near any hallowed ground of service

and exalted places in the land,

Lest he sells the nation for a mere pottage

to the West having captured all Lagos and all South West.

Fellow Nigerians, are you sure you want

shameless Achan and rebellious Absalom,

deluded and worthless Abimelech to indeed rule

over you and your children and their children’s children?

Ha ha! Ha ha! Ha ha! Impatient Esau without integrity,

Coming to trade away our Commonwealth

with the West for a mess of porridge?

Ho ho! Ho ho! Ha ha! He-he-he,

the gang of Metropolitan elites

rushing to Chatham and to London

and other Western hospitals as status conferral

negotiating away our treasures

not wanting the West to uncover his dirty past?

Then you have not suffered enough, my people!
Then you have not died enough, my people?

Are you again indeed, rooting for the self-same

All Political Crooks (APC) and a gang of robbers,

destroyers, and killers?

Dream killers and hope dashers?

Hope killers?

Destiny changers?

Destiny destroyers?

Fuel, food, and Prosperity snatchers

and All Poverty Carriers (APC)?

Again?

Again?

Again?

Ocha ho-ho! Ocha ho-ho! Ocha ho-ho!

Once bitten, twice shy -

But not so in Naija!

Now, let my people think,

Let my people think now.

and the time is now for my people to think.

And the hour is now:

Therefore, think! Think! And again, think!

But is it mere delusion of grandeur

to think because the West doth greet Mr ‘Prezdent’

anyone should begin to think it is a sign of approval

And not for migration’s sake when the nation is afire?

Let this movement then start from the,

North to the South; West to East,

And from coast to coast;

Savanna to savanna

And from the desert to the desert

and the Middle Belt to the Middle Belt,

And all-around the Delta to every Delta,

Therefore, let they who will say

to their children: “Be like Bola Ahmed Tinubu”,

Step out to join NEC to decree him President

and subsequently usher him into that exalted office,

And swear him in as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,

And if none be the first to so pronounce,

Let it then be echoed all over the nation and all the world:

Not my President!

But whose son is Amoda,

and wherefrom does he come,

Iragbiji or Lagos?

And is he of the lineage of Ogunlere of Iragbiji or Tinubu of Lagos?

Impetuous and indiscreet Trump, purveyor of untruth,

You are certainly not he who is to come.

But are you the one to cause the fall of Nigeria,

Bring war upon our land and speed up

the parting of Nigerians to their tents?

But Ashywajo, where goes that Owambeganza celebration,

And your trademark boasting if this is a genuine victory?

And now that the vampiric bandit has reciprocated, what next?
