OF FOOLS OF THE MIDDLE BELT, ONE NORTH AND PASTORAL JIHADISM...WAKE UP, O YE FOOLS AND SLEEPERS!

“In fact, on the day he was to leave Katsina Government House in 2007 to resume office as President, Head of State and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I had an appointment through his Press Secretary to speak with him on the phone from the United Kingdom about the Yara’Adua Diaspora Support Group (YDSG) I had founded to drum up international support for his candidacy, and subsequently his Government.”

OLUSEGUN OBASANJO HAS GONE ‘MAD’ AGAIN

“….I am closing my 52 years of military service. When I joined the Army, even before the turn of the century, it was the fulfilment of all of my boyish hopes and dreams. The world has turned over many times since I took the oath on the plain at West Point, and the hopes and dreams have long since vanished, but I still remember the refrain of one of the most popular barrack ballads of that day which proclaimed most proudly that “old soldiers never die; they just fade away.”

And like the old soldier of that ballad, I now close my military career and just fade away, an old soldier who tried to do his duty as God gave him the light to see that duty.

Good Bye.”

– General Douglas MacArthur in his Farewell address to Congress, Washington, 19 April, 1951.

That Phoenix of Ota always deludes himself that like the actual phoenix in the Greek mythology he has the juju to keep regenerating, hence he has refused to listen to daughter Iyabo to descend the national stage whilst the ovation was loudest.

He seems to have a ready answer for any concerned voice of Baba e do. The old barracks boy that he has always been, he may have rascally and excitedly torn his PDP card, the same card that enabled him and his erstwhile gang to distribute poverty to our fifle for 16 years, but he no doubt has one which he tucks inside his apo, and sometimes puts it inside his socks – and one side of the card reads: OLD SOLDIER NO DEY DIE.

It looks as cunning as he is, when he thinks anyone was smart enough to remind him about the inevitability of death, and the fact that the greatest democrat humanity has ever known is MR DEATH, who happens to be the original originator and pioneer of democracy in the world, he is sure to fight back by turning the other side of the card which reads: OLD SOLDIER DEY RETIRE, E NO DEY TIRE, despite the fact that the refrain of one of the most popular barracks ballads goes thus: OLD SOLDIERS NEVER DIE; THEY FADE AWAY.

And refusing to fade away, he has continued to re-invent himself in order to occupy every national space eternally. Whenever any Omode defeats him in a political duel, just as the Pharaoh of Daura did recently offering an opportunity for his foes like the Kabiyesi of Lagos to be celebrating that humiliation of his at the town square, he behaved as if in Muhammadu Buhari he had truly, truly met his political waterloo, but unknown to all his enemies who abound beyond Ota and his Ile-Oke in Abeokuta, he sprang a surprise in his WARRI EXPOSITION or better still, WARRI ORATION which like the poisonous letters from his poisonous pens dipped into his poisonous ink pots has been causing CHAHOS (chaos) and KONFUSHON (confusion) all over the Republic, unnecessarily heating up the politics once more - belatedly accepting the Sharia creep which this writer has been alerting the nation for ages!

Readers must not forget it was the same Olu Obasanjo who went to school the very first day in his life of entering a Western type education arena with the challenge to a cowardly teacher: BOLE KA JA, all because the cocoyam leaf teacher dared to ask for, and called his father by name. And according to Olu’s personal testimony, he slapped his cocoyam leaf teacher who behaved as if he had taken more than enough of the TURN THE OTHER CHEEK OPIUM of Jesus.

WO! By Olota, if I were that his teacher, young Olu would have had eight of his teeth forced out of him that very day so that he learnt the lesson of his life that VIOLENCE BEGETS VIOLENCE or violence could be used to redeem violence.

But the same Olu in 1976 when his boss was killed was all over the place mouthing it to the world that HE WHO LIVES BY THE SWORD MUST DIE BY THE SWORD.

Herdsmen, farmers’ clashes not Buhari’s responsibilty – Obasanjo

Published October 18, 2016

Ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo

Okechukwu Nnodim, Abuja

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Tuesday said it is not the responsibility of President Muhammadu Buhari to address the lingering clashes between herdsmen and farmers.

Obasanjo also decried the increasing level of hunger in the country, stressing that it was sad to note that about 65 per cent of Nigerians were faced with food insecurity.

The former president spoke during the 23rd Annual LAPO Development Forum with the theme, ‘Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture in Nigeria: Challenges and Opportunities’, organised by the Lift Above Poverty Organisation in Abuja.

Obasanjo said, “Some of the words that have been coming from our leaders, particularly from state governors are not helpful! This issue is not a federal issue and another thing, I don’t like about it is that when you talk of Fulani herdsmen, people talk of the President.

“Now because the President of Nigeria is a Fulani man, you expect him to solve the problem immediately, that is not his job. And when people make comments like this, it annoys me.

He noted that during the colonial era, there were grazing reserves in most parts of the North, but wondered what had happened to them.

Obasanjo said, “I need to state that it is the responsibility of local governments to take care of them. Now, states should have even done better, but they haven’t, and then when you have cattle rustling, herdsmen and farmers conflict, you try to make it a national issue. It is not really a national issue.

“For me, the herdsmen are entitled be able to look after their animals but they are not entitled to destroy the crops of the rural farmers, it is unacceptable.”

THE GENERAL’S U-TURN

“The herdsmen/crop farmers issue is being wittingly or unwittingly allowed to turn sour and messy. It is no credit to the Federal Government that the herdsmen rampage continues with careless abandon and without finding an effective solution to it. And it is a sad symptom of insensitivity and callousness that some Governors, a day after 73 victims were being buried in a mass grave in Benue State without condolence, were jubilantly endorsing President Buhari for a second term! The timing was most unfortunate. The issue of herdsmen/crop farmers dichotomy should not be left on the political platform of blame game; the Federal Government must take the lead in bringing about solution that protects life and properties of herdsmen and crop farmers alike and for them to live amicably in the same community.”

OBJ AS AN UNRELIABLE U-TURNER AND THE NEW MARADONER

62 . Every issue of insecurity must be taken seriously at all levels and be addressed at once without favouritism or cuddling.  Both Boko Haram and herdsmen acts of violence were not treated as they should at the beginning.  They have both incubated and developed beyond what Nigeria can handle alone.  They are now combined and internationalised with ISIS in control.  It is no longer an issue of lack of education and lack of employment for our youth in Nigeria which it began as, it is now West African fulanisation, African islamisation and global organised crimes of human trafficking, money laundering, drug trafficking, gun trafficking, illegal mining and regime change.  Yet we could have dealt with both earlier and nib them in the bud, but Boko Haram boys were seen as rascals not requiring serious attention in administering holistic measures of stick and carrot.  And when we woke up to the reality, it was turned to industry for all and sundry to supply materials and equipment that were already outdated and that were not fit for active military purpose.  Soldiers were poorly trained for the unusual mission, poorly equipped, poorly motivated, poorly led and made to engage in propaganda rather than achieving results.  Intelligence was poor and governments embarked on games of denials while paying ransoms which strengthened the insurgents and yet governments denied payment of ransoms.  Today, the security issue has gone beyond the wit and capacity of Nigerian government or even West African governments.  The Economist Magazine of May 4, 2019, p. 15, has this to say:

BECAUSE THEY ALL FAILED TO TACKLE THE PROBLEMS OF TODAY IN THEIR TIMES, WE ARE DISCUSSING YESTERDAY TODAY WHEN WE SHOULD BE FOCUSSING ON NEW THINGS AND THE FUTURE

Enter: Balewa, Ironsi, Gowon, Muhammed, Obasanjo, Shagari, (re-enter ) Shagari; Buhari, Babangida, Shonekan, Abacha, Abdulsalami, (re-enter) Obasanjo, (re-enter) Obasanjo; Yar’Adua, Jonathan, (re-enter) Jonathan, (re-enter) Buhari, (re-enter) Buhari. But who next?

The late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, both in his capacity as Governor of Katsina State and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria knew about most of my investigations into the changing and worsening conditions of the ecology of Northern Nigeria, including the deleterious effects of the mega dams and the massive irrigation projects.

In fact, on the day he was to leave Katsina Government House in 2007 to resume office as President, Head of State and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I had an appointment through his Press Secretary to speak with him on the phone from the United Kingdom about the Yara’Adua Diaspora Support Group (YDSG) I had founded to drum up international support for his candidacy, and subsequently his Government.

As part of my agenda, I had plans to take up with him the ecological problems of the North since he was quite conversant with my campaign on this. Unfortunately, this telephone discussion could not hold as he was hurrying to move to Abuja for his new calling as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, but conveyed his apologies to me on the phone through his Press Secretary. His Press Secretary even politely asked me to listen to the sound of the quick movement of steps as the President and his aides were preparing to move down to Abuja from the State House in Katsina.

LETTER OF COMMENDATION OF MY EFFORTS IN ALWAYS SEEKING TO PRESERVE THE ECOLOGY OF THE NORTHERN NIGERIA AND ITS PEOPLE PERSONALLY SIGNED BY THE THEN DEPUTY GOVERNOR, HIS EXCELLENCY ALHAJI TUKUR AHMED JIKAMSHI ON THE KATSINA STATE OF NIGERIA’S LETTER HEAD

RE: SOS ON JOINT INITIATIVE TO TACKLE DESERTIFICATION IN KATSINA STATE

I wish to acknowledge receipt of the letter regarding your proposal on the above and to commend and thank you immensely for the various efforts of your organization in this direction.

  1. I wish to also convey and expressed the appreciation of His Excellency, The Executive governor of Katsisna State, for the concern you have shown on the menace of desertification affecting Katsina State.
  2. Thank You.

Aware too of the problems is Goodluck Ebele Jonathan who is yet to tell the nation what he has done with the over N6 billion he and his kinsmen (people) had collected from the Nigerian public for the so-called Otuoke Development Project (ODP) or was it for a Presidential Library like the much vaunted Olu’s?

But is that project ongoing already?

Bad precedence such as this does encourage toads to come out of their ponds to campaign as Presidential candidates. They trick the people into donating handsome sums of money to them when they know they are really not serious about such a very serious venture, and after the elections they thrust their fingers forward at the gullible donors/contributors and say to them: UBANKA or UWAKU, knowing full well, in a non-accountable system such as our polity you can get away with anything if you are from the ‘right family’, region and ethnic nationality.

Aren’t the so-called men and women of God doing it to buy private jets?

Aren’t Imams too collecting from N250, 000, 000xx for a prayer session not lasting up to 15 minutes as prayer warriors from their IJEKUJELLENCIES?

Yes, the taxpayers foot all these so-called MISCELLANEOUS BILLS!

The late Oronto Douglas, Jonathan’s aide for Research and Documentation was a personal friend and a fellow eco-warrior/environmental activist whom we had slept together on the floor, and at Leventis Guest House at the GRA in Benin City during those struggling days, but what exactly did the Jonathan Government do for the Nigerian environment; for Oronto was aware of all the problems of the environment in every nook and cranny of Nigeria.

In fact, he had my manuscript on the environment titled: EARTH GAMES for a very long time as a friend, brother, comrade and a fellow eco-warrior.

SHARIADOM AND CHRISTENDOM

What is more, far and above anyone of the nation’s Presidents/Heads of State, General Muhammadu Buhari, the clan head of Daura, both in his capacity as a Fulbe, the founding President of the PASTORAL RESOLVE (PARE), a pastoralist NGO founded and financed by my late boss and great mentor, Mr Romeo V. Barberopoulos, Chairman and founder of Nigerian Foundries Limited, Ilupeju, Lagos Nigeria has more insight and knowledge into the perennial clashes between the pastoralists and the farmers, which was later to be hijacked by the politicians, by religionists and under him by the trans-national Islamists – BOKO HARAM, ISIS, ISWA, Al Qaeda in the Maghreb, Al-Shabab, Libyan Islamists and former Gadhafi soldiers, the Janjaweed, the Muslim Brotherhood, Hezbollah, ISIS warriors relocating to Nigeria/Africa from Syria, courtesy of the continent’s borderlessness and border porosity, thus making Africa the new battle ground/field for Islamists/extremists/jihadists’ activities, where gullible Africans buy easily into the ideologies of SALAFISM/WAHABISM, especially with funds flowing into Africa like Niagara Falls from the House of Saud, UAE and other Islamic nations to capture the whole of Africa and wipe out Christianity therefrom.

Just as Major General Muhammadu Buhari in his capacity as the first President of the Pastoral Resolve (PARE), President Ibrahim Gbadamosi Babangida during whose era as President, Head of State and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria most of my investigations were carried out with serious warnings to me from his Government agents at the time that I was stepping on toes did know about all of my investigations, for he was also the Patron of the Nigerian Conservation Foundation, so was duly briefed by the members of the trustees of the NCF, amongst whom was Ahmed Joda who succeeded Major General Muhammadu Buhari as the President of the Pastoral Resolve (PARE).

Again, fellow Nigerians and the world must be reminded that PARE into which we co-opted the former Major-General Muhammadu Buhari then in his capacity as a former military Head of State, himself a Fulbe, was founded based on the findings of my investigations into the ecological problems of the North, topmost was the perennial clashes between the Fulani herders and the peasant farmers.

PARE at inception had about 14 or 15 very prominent Nigerians, mostly Fulbes on its Board of Trustees and they included Ahmed Joda, who succeeded Muhammadu Buhari as the President of The Pastoral Resolve, Prof. Jibril Aminu, Alhaji Alhaji, the late Mr Romeo Barberopoulos (founder and financier), Muhammadu Buhari, a representative of the now notorious and blood-thirsty Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), to name, but just a few.

It must be here told to Nigerians and the world that the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) were well carried along, briefed and consulted by us at every stage of the vision, planning and actual execution and fund raising drive for PARE, including its actual taking off and the NATIONAL LIVESTOCK EXHIBITION which this writer then initiated and was working on, but could not go ahead as planned because I had to return to the newsroom as CHAIRMAN, EDITORIAL BOARD OF THE DAILY TIMES OF NIGERIA PLC in year 2000 from the private sector and in my capacity as the Southern Coordinator, Public Affairs Manager of Muhammadu Buhari’s pastoralists NGO, THE PASTORAL RESOLVE (PARE) and EXECUTIVE SECRETARY, FOUNDRY ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (FAN).

The purpose of PARE was to shift the pastoralists from subsistence/traditional pastoralism to economic one; encourage them to embrace a permanent sedentary life in view of the current population reality cum agricultural activities by farmers whose destructions often did lead to clashes between them and the herders resulting in avoidable death; establish schools for the pastoralists’ children in their rugas; get them to belong to Local Government Council of their choice as from my investigations then, I discovered that the Borroros were the only Nigerians without Local Governments to call their own due to their nomadic lifestyle; put a stop to the menace of cattle rustling and other criminal activities as soon as they settle down to economic pastoralism, amongst others.

Once again, I’d like to on behalf of my late boss and mentor, Mr Romeo V. Barberopoulos ask Muhammadu Buhari, Ahmed Joda, Alhaji Alhaji, Professor Jibril Aminu and other prominent Fulbes on the Board of the Trustees of the Pastoral Resolve, especially the officials of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), whatever happened to our PARE and its original vision? And where have all the funds (monies) we had raised gone?

Interestingly, Muhammadu Buhari during his dodgy assets declaration in his first and second tenures did not declare PARE, nor did he in the name of integrity and unimpeachability mention it to the nation.

Also, why has Ahmed Joda not been speaking to the nation in his capacity as PARE President in the face of the ongoing ethnic cleansing as presided over by the Presidency/Khalifa Muhammadu bin Buhari, El-Dauranus, President of the FULBE BROTHERHOOD OF WEST AFRICA (FULBOWA), THE GRAND KHALIFA OF THE ISLAMIC SULTANATE OF WEST AFRICA (ISOWA) AND THE PRESIDENT OF THE WEST AFRICAN CATTLE BREEDERS ASSOCIATION (WACBA), and palaces, MACBAN, some Northern Governors, Fulbe elites, etc.?

Also, Nigerians and the world are waiting to hear from Alhaji Alhaji, former Minister of Finance and Professor Jibril Aminu, former Education Minister and Petroleum Minister on the ongoing scorched earth policy of their brethren, the Fulbes against Nigerians and Christianity in Nigeria in their capacity as former Federal Officers, members of the Board of Trustees of the pastoralist NGO – The Pastoral Resolve (PARE).

THE NEXT LAMENTATIONS…YO, MALLAM! INA PLOT NA?

By the way, has Muhammadu Buhari been able to locate/find his plot of land in Port Harcourt? And has Bola Ahmed Tinubu been able to locate the dog entrusted to him as a security guard in the United States of America?

OF BOLA AHMED TINUBU, THE MISSING DOG AND REGISTER AND THE MISSING LAGOS

2023: BOLA AHMEDI-O-O-O-O-O! SKIDDO AND THE REGISTER NKO, NKO?

Enter, Boladillon: “Another interesting one was when I was taking the third Accounting class and equally working as a security guard at a construction site. They were very serious with their kind of security. You just had to do that job. There were about six points with six clocks at the site, which the security man must wind every hour and with a dog in hand. So, there was never a chance of trying to catch a nap.

  • ”As I was doing my accounting assignment, I fell asleep. I was dead asleep! The inspector came to the site and found me sleeping, with my head on my books. He simply pulled the register and wrote: ‘I have been here. You were sound asleep. So, see me tomorrow.’ When I woke up, I found that Skiddo (the dog’s name) was gone, and then the register. I just went to a corner, cleaned my face and concentrated on my assignment because I knew the job was already gone. You can’t lose two things. I ensured that I read well for my test and passed the next day. I opted to post their uniform and the cap to them, but suddenly ran into the man and he handed me my cheque and said the job was gone. I told him I knew and we said goodbye to each other! I had to start looking for another job.”

  • Lest I forget, with the exception of Gowon and Shagari, all the Heads of State/Presidents as mentioned above and in my previous articles knew about my investigations into the ecological problems of the North and by virtue of their being patrons of the Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF), and in their capacities as Presidents/Heads of State. It MUST here be recorded for posterity that more than anyone else in Nigeria, Ahmed Joda knew about these in his capacities as a Trustee of the NCF and of PARE and in his private capacity as a Nigerian from that part of the country, just as all these leaders too knew about the ecological problems of the North, their associated problems and about all my investigations and their findings!
  • Baba Joda, make you put mouth, all the peoples of the entire free world, the rest of the world and all of humanity dey wait to hear from you.
  • However, both Yakubu Gowon and Shehu Shagari as well as the Republic’s politicians and political officials from the colonial period through independence till date – Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Benjamin Nnamdi Azikiwe to Muhammadu Buhari, the present day politicians and political officials all knew/know about the ecological problems of Northern Nigeria, all the associated problems – natural factors such as climate change and desertification, intractable droughts/famines, sand dunes/dust bowls, locusts invasions, receding underground aquifer, desiccation of the river systems, deforestation, etc., etc.; and human factors – population, human greed (seizure of cattle tracks/routes), erection of development projects on the flood plains now causing flooding all over the nation and other natural river/water outlets; mega dams, bush fire, massive irrigation projects in the 1970s, especially during the Yakubu Gowon’s regime, and Police Commissioner, Audu Bako in his capacity as the Governor of Kano State, etc.
  1. Fellow Nigerians, see those into whose hands you have entrusted our nation and our collective destiny.
