SERIES: SOCIAL WELL BEING, HEALTH, SAFETY AND SECURITY OF THE POOR IN THE CORE NORTH OF THE WEST AFRICAN STATE OF NIGERIA

(PART 12): Porous borders and national security in times of national emergency and unparalleled adversity

Since July 13, 2020 when the 11th espousal on the current Nigerian tragedy, particularly the grave threat to national security, the looming famine beyond Biblical proportion, population explosion, intractable flooding, plight of the IDPs, the tragedy that is the children of Allah (the Almajirai), rape, youth violence, the danger of having kingdoms in kingdoms, terrorism, etc, JOHN ODEY ADUMA has been hibernating and incubating for ideas at his incubation/philosophical laboratory, and the result of that withdrawal from the crowd in search of the deeper things and meanings of life is what will be cascading from his intellectual Niagara Falls, and you would do well to enmesh/soak/saturate yourself in the falls.

And worried by the current state of reportage in the nations of the world, particularly in Nigeria, totally lacking in depth and investigation coupled with the usual resort and retreat to kinship or clannish journalism, the non-existent anonymous “authoritative source/s”, Aduma, whilst at the Daily Times of Nigeria Plc as its Editorial Board Chairman, had had to intervene to refocus the dumbing down of professionalism by propounding a theory he had then called Pyramidal or Tripodal or Triangular Criticism or Analysis, and in this series, you are going to read his latest media theories – The John Aduma Newsroom Boxes, the Dodecagonium; including political theories such as OMU, Nigerianistic Equality for the self-same reason, aimed at journalistic excellence and international best practice and in the furtherance of his vision of Nigerianism, Nigeriatopia and Nigerian exceptionalism.

You are, therefore, welcome to read, drink, soak yourself therein, debate, dissect and analyse, chew it, swallow it up, and become wiser and reflective, but you are not to plagiarise, copy and paste to claim its ownership, nor regurgitate it, but give credit to the author if you must make reference, quote from it or you are fascinated by any word, phrase/s or idea.

As a teenager at Aladura Comprehensive High School, Anthony Village, the age that the GIBB have chosen to join cultism and youth gang, it was Aduma’s dream to propound theories, be the most quoted intellectual on the planet earth and the greatest theorist and philosopher ever. And regarding that boyish dream, he is today widely quoted in academic journals and scholarly theses across the globe.

No doubt, you are already salivating and don’t want any further ‘traffic’ from the author on your way to his fountain of wisdom and knowledge, but before you are set loose, Mr Aduma ‘d like to ask you these questions: what is your dream?

Just what are your life’s dreams and goals? Happy reading!

Symbol of Sankonfa – A mythical bird in Akan folklore. Every Nigerian, and indeed African, must have the symbol of this bird on their desk.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The idea that the general anarchy in Nigeria has become so borderless that even the dead are so brazenly disrespected is totally unacceptable and all conscientious Nigerians and humanity must rise to condemn these acts of physical/extreme verbal assault and violence, hooliganism, thuggery and vandalism.

THE DANGER OF SELF-HELP JUSTICE IN A MULTI-CULTURAL, MULTI-LINGUAL POLITY

It is hoped that IGP Adamu, Governor Ayade and CP Akande would treat this matter with dispatch and with the utmost urgency that it deserves to bring all the perpetrators to book to serve as a deterrence to other thugs and generally lawless citizens that now abound in our country, who at the slightest provocation would resort to self-help justice by taking the law into their hands instead of reporting vexed matters/incidents to the Police.

And again, may I sound another note of warning once more, to the policing authorities in Nigeria, that in these chaotic times and in a situation of zero government and governance in our national odyssey, it is saddened to know that policing in Nigeria has generally now become a matter of self-help, where people living in a face-me-I face you accommodation arrangement can go on the rampage killing people for a missing cube of maggi?

God is my witness that I have since 1993 never failed to warn the nation about our non-representative institutions as is the case currently in the police, the military, paramilitary and in fact, all the so-called national institutions, which to me do not exist in that country in any least way whatsoever.

And methinks what we actually have now is a situation of zero-representation (non-representative national institutions) in all the so-called national institutions, including even the Capitol. This explains why self-help justice system has now been imbibed and embraced by all and sundry, such that instead of seeking justice in a regular court through the instrumentality of the rule of law and equality before the law as against the prevailing rule of lawlessness by inequality before the law.

THE GROWING PARALYSIS OF JUSTICE, FAVOURITISM, ETHNIC NATIONALISM, GEOGRAPHIC/REGIONAL SENTIMENTALITY, POLIGEOZONAL NATIONALISM AND HEREDITARY PRIVILGE

“Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord,” Romans 12:19.

And if you still wonder why all Sunday Igbohos are now commonplace in our national policing system and polity, then know that it is that realization by the citizenry that either justice is for the rich, powerful and the famous or that it is for the tyrannical ethnic majority (Fulani/Hausa, Yoruba and in a happenstance cases, Ndigbo) or geography or POLIGEOZONE-based, consequent upon years of frustration, disenchantment/disillusionment, coupled with a zero sense of belonging.

But where were the Yorubas when one Olusegun Obasanjo wiped out Odi?

You see what I mean?

But what would Awo do at a time like this?

And even Gani Fawehinmi in this day and age?

Justice is for the so-called ethnic majority and it can never, ever be for the ethnic minority, hence the Fulanis’ centuries of bestiality eventuating in the recent IGBOHONIAN EFFECT are allowed and normal and without any iota of condemnation by their brethren/kinsmen, but go wipe off the Asagba and Odi minorities; receive the Jagaban and super Aare Ona kakanfo titles, and you could like Murtala Muhammed be left in the army to progress to the rank of a General and afterwards, a Head of State and be further rewarded by having public places named after you; similarly, if you were Ibrahim Taiwo, you would be allowed to rise and rise to the rank of a Colonel in the army and become a Governor of a state in Nigeria (Kwara), and if an IBM, be rewarded again and again and be promoted to the rank of a Major-General, retired with same and later at the Oputa Panel told the panellists not to ask you nonsense akritions (questions) because you thought war is not love making, but war, pure and simple(!) -  and thus, disregard the rules of engagement, particularly the Geneva Convention; if you are OPCX, you can be shielded and helped to escape justice; if you are Igboho, the new FREEDOM FIGHTER-GENERAL OF THE FEDERATION, (ha ha!), super Jagaban (jagaban awon jagaban), super Aare (Aare Ona kakanfo awon Aare Onakakanfo), you can be protected by your kinsmen and women, threatening war; if you are Miyetti Wahala and Miyetti Katakata ati potopoto, Boko Haram, herdsmen, bandits, abductors, rapists, paedophiles, you are the nation’s untouchable; if you belong to the ruining class/ruining elites (ruling elites/class), you are a sacred cow and a no go area for all agents of justice, but if you are an ethnic minority, expect a hail storm of thunder, ballistic missiles, MOABs and cluster bombs in your part of the country to wipe you out of existence, in addition to the permanent disablement of your agro activities to provoke famine of unprecedented magnitude, so food can later be used to convert you to Islam – and worse still, woe betides you if you are Nyamiri  - (give me some water, an Hausa pejorative for Ndigbo) , then expect the usual civil war of PYTHON DANCE – O-O, you are yet to know python dance is civil war by some other name/form!

And not forgetting, if you are a goddamned Shi’ite, you will immediately be jackbooted to death by your mindless and predatory aggressors and sometimes buried whole alive, and the entire sect (the religious Iranians in Nigeria) for such an effrontery and a “wrong” choice of religion and be marked down for an unparalleled persecution and subsequent extinction for aligning yourself to the Iranians, as against being a Sunni and a Saudi by religion (religious Arabs), promoting Wahabism or Salafism!

Just wondering why you have never before now known that python-dancing is a provocative civil war?

Children, if truth could be rammed into your medulla oblongata once more, now is the time for that truth, and every Nigerian must be made aware that one bad violence begets another worse violence. Therefore, it is an exercise in crass stupidity to often resort to self-help justice as using violence to redeem violence not only provoke anarchy, and far above all else, it is yet a truism that that two wrongs are not able to right a wrong.

Thus, as a sign of things to come, and come soonest it will, you must for your foolhardiness, stubbornness of heart, stony-heartedness and stiff-neckedness, hence forth, expect more and more tribal militia groups springing up in Nigeria in the coming days, weeks, months and years as self-help defence force or self-defence force/police or alternative military or alternative armed forces. Nigeria, we hail thee still, in spite of.

Conclusively, it does stand to reason that the emergence and availability of cult heroes and heroines and the prevalence of tribal militias, vigilante groups and other self-help para-military groups headed by their so-called “war lords”, “Generals”, “warriors”, “Field Marshalls” and lately, “freedom fighters” in Nigeria is the failure of the policing system and the embarrassing non-representative nature of the polity, coupled with a severe famine of a national justice system (NJS) – and this explains why they General, Field Marshall and Aare you into their pockets and bank accounts!

But who is the next omo ota king, Area boy king or omo ota messiah, who like Igboho, unchallenged by the law enforcement agencies would be meting out motor park justice or roadside justice or jungle justice or yahoo-yahoo justice or Badoo-Badoo justice or market place justice or rotten justice or garbage justice or Igboho justice or or Ibarapa or Igangan justice or rubbish justice or vengeance or wild, wild, west justice or masquerade or egungun or kabukabu justice or juju or garage justice or agbero or thuggery justice or Amotekun justice to his people’s perceived enemies?

But why the euphoria of that deliverance lasts, let all concerned be made aware that the unforgiving spirits of Alimi (Salih Janta), Abdulsalam Alimi and Uthman Dan Fodio live.

Also, whilst the media and some Nigerians eulogise and praise these tribal/motor park war lords, warriors, messiahs, redeemers, freedom fighters, generals and field marshals who will later be rewarded with traditional titles and government contracts, we must all not forget that pervasive or widespread self-help justice system such as the one the nation is right now confronting, is wide spread break down of law and order; and wide spread break down of law and order is wide spread chaos/anarchy; and wide spread chaos and anarchy is wide spread zero-policing; and wide spread zero-policing is wide spread zero-government; and wide spread zero government is wide spread zero governance; and wide spread zero governance is wide spread predatoriness; and wide spread predatoriness is wide spread state of the beasts in a jungle-like wild, condoning the notion that might is right, and that it is all about the survival of the fittest.

TACTICAL COVER UP IS DIVERSIONARY

And need I remind the nation that every investigation, self or inward or self-inflicted or self-directed or tactical arson/attack aimed to divert attention from the cause, or the original incident must not be swept under the carpet or overruled.

THE BATTLE AT IGANGAN, THE IMMINENT “REMATCH” AND ECHOES OF  1962 AND JULY 29, 1966

ENTER, ARTEMIDORUS: [reads aloud] “Caesar (eyin Omo Oduduwa), beware of Brutus. Take heed of Cassius. Come not near Casca. Have an eye to Cinna. Trust not Trebonius. Mark well Metellus Cimber. Decius Brutus5loves thee not. Thou hast wronged Caius Ligarius. There is but one mind in all these men, and it is bent against Caesar (the Yorubas). If thou beest not immortal, look about you. Security gives way to conspiracy. The mighty gods defend thee!10Thy lover, Artemidorus”

Whilst some Yoruba irredentists and ethnic jingoists in other parts of Nigeria without a sense of history and without insight into the functionality of the Nigerian polity jubilate about the recent seeming ‘redemptive’ exploit of Sunday X, they must not forget that what the now ‘messiah’ of Igangan has helped all the Yorubas to do is to murder both regional and national sleep.

And the Yorubas and other Nigerians must not, repeat, must not be careless at this time as the “rematch” will sure come, no matter how long, because all Nigerians in these our chaotic times are dealing with their compatriots whose vindictiveness and unforgiving hubris and penchant for reprisal are legendary. And more than any ethnic nationality in Nigeria, the Yorubas must bear in mind that their South West other wise known in the nation’s political parlance as WILD, WILD, WEST (WWW) is situated in the nation’s political ring of fire, hence very super-active, super-sensitive, super-inflammable, super-eruptive, super explosive and super-combustible.

And to confirm this, the children of Oduduwa must follow Sankofa with wisdom back to 1962 through 1966, culminating in that period of national convulsion that lasted 30 months.

In following the wisdom of Sankofa to the past, I’m not unmindful of the fact that all Nigerians have all remained stoical and for the umpteenth time turned the other cheek in the face of the mindless aggressions, provocation, violence, killings, destructions, disruptions, dispossession, endless rape, blood flowing ceaseless from all the nooks and crannies of Nigeria as being carried out by their common aggressors – the killer Fulani shepherds  who have been armed by the rich cow owners in palaces and exalted places in the land.

I’m aware too that like Rachel of Ramah, Nigerians have been wailing inconsolably - crying and crying to those who should intervene, but they have deliberately refused to heed their cries because the violent and blood-thirsty herders are mere errand boys, carrying the cows owned by their Fulbe brethren in high places to graze in and around the country with meagre rewards, and their real reward upon years of cogitation is what I have come to call Fulani crow or sharia crow or Islam crow (an unwritten and unofficial non-existent law/practice, but commonly manifested in the body languages of the Fulani imperialists, promoting and furthering Fulani empire in Nigeria, ranking the herders in the third hierarchy of being/humanity after themselves and their cows, with other Nigerians labelled as pagans; and in terms of religion, this unspoken/unwritten law by the caliphate delusionists ranks Islam above all religions in Nigeria) and it is the equivalent of Jim crow in America.

Sometimes, because of the naturally complex and intricate nature of our polity which has been consciously arranged to favour our common aggressors, having turned the other cheek and with none to turn any more, we should rather than the now common resort to self-help justice system, apply wisdom.

And if we do, I’m sure that voice from the Excellent glory would counsel, patience after which we shall be told to apply endurance, and if this too fails, we shall be asked to embrace long suffering as I do believe our multifaceted national challenges, most of which are man-made, can be resolved amicably through NON-VIOLENCE at the table of brother/sisterhood.

And I for one, unparalleled circumspection is needed in solving problems emanating from our kind of polity, especially upon the realization of the fact that we are having to deal with a situation of zero national institutions.

More, what can be more provocative, seeing the so-called Nigeria Army personnel beating our women in the South, giving the excuse of the so-called indecent dressing – and what is worse, seeing Southern monarchs and other traditional rulers being flogged openly before their subjects and frog-jumping them openly. Yet in addition to bearing this stoically and not often resort to self-help justice, which no doubt is worsening our challenges, three things are required as below:

  1. Wisdom
  2. Wisdom

And need I add that those who live in a glass house must learn never to throw stone – and if tempted to, they must first take a breath and afterwards count the cost.

For example: Does Igboho know how many millions of his kinsmen and women are all over the North and elsewhere in the Nigerian Federation?

Does OPCX who at the slightest provocation would often issue quit notices to other Nigerians in the South West of Nigeria in the name of YOURBA LAND, know how many million Yorubas are spread across the Nigerian Federation, including in and around the world?

What is worse and more embarrassing, when Babatunde Raji Fashola in his capacity as Lagos State Governor evacuated some Nigerians of Ndigbo extraction and dumped them at the Eastern end of the Niger River, was he aware they are millions of Yorubas in the East? Yet, Fashola is a SAN!

As a matter of fact, issuing quit notices to other Nigerians are not a Yoruba thing alone, virtually all the ethnic nationalities in Nigeria are guilty of this.

And this shame pre-dates our generation:

Listen to Alhaji Ahmadu Bello telling some students in the North during colonial Nigeria: “Sweep out the foreigners (Igbos and Yoruba) and take over from the British.”

And during campaigns, he was wont to be telling the crowds: “Get rid of the British and send the Southerners home.” (Both quoted in P.J. Padan, (1986), Ahmadu Bello: Sardauna of Sokoto – Values and Leadership in Nigeria, P.227, 1986.

QUIT NOTICE – WHERE JOHN ODEY ADUMA STANDS

Where this writer stands is - and it should so be recorded for posterity that all anti-Nigerian, anti-union, anti-unity, ant-integration, anti-cohesion and anti-peace and harmony pronouncements and all such other unNigerian loyalty tendencies/inclinations must be condemned by all Nigerians for obvious reasons and implications – short/mid and long term because a nation is not built through the frequent issuance of quit notices by Nigerians to fellow Nigerians nor are national unity, integration, cohesion, peace, faith and unity attain thus. Therefore, let the word go forth to all Nigerians today that wherever they are currently domiciled within the Nigerian Federation – whether on the hills and valleys - NE, NW, NC, SS, SE and SW that I’m not a tenant here, but a Nigerian. What is more, we are all Nigerians living in Nigeria, although are all voyagers/pilgrims on this our portion of the earth and all citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, equal joiners in the Federal or Nigerian enterprise/arrangement, and joint heirs of the political kingdom of Nigeria, and are neither tenants nor landlords, but all Nigerians, citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Thus, I’m no tenant that should be given quit notices at will nor are you a landlord to be dishing out quit notices at your pleasure.

Finally, it is to be here proposed that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria must through the issuance of Executive Order with utmost immediacy make quit notice issuances criminal and jailable offences, carrying a minimum jail term of 7 years and a maximum of 14 years. And henceforth, LET THERE BE PEACE in our Nigeria.

YOU ARE ME AND I AM YOU: STRONGER TOGETHER…ONWARD WITH ONE NIGERIA IN SPITE OF

And to all my dear fellow Nigerians, please be made aware this day that I am defined by you and you are defined by me; I am who I am because you are who you are, and we are who we are because of each other. Therefore, I is you, and you is me and all of we is one and the same person, bound together by one umbilical cord and living together in one country, having and subscribing to the same national destiny, vision, mission, goal, dream faith and unity in this land of possibilities, although professing different philosophies, ideologies, creeds and religions; yet one indivisible plenum (whole) under one God – the God, Lord and Father of all mankind. We must therefore as a people – Nigerians severally, learn to live together eternally in peace and harmony – for better and for worse, and for better and for best or perish like fools.

THE COLLECTIVITY OF SURVEILANCE AND VIGILANCE IN A NATION STATE

Securing a nation state is not just the business of government, people in government and security agents, but the business of all, and a task for everyone, high or low, small, or big, including even the media and be they citizens or residents or visitors – and it requires being security conscious of one’s immediate environment and caring for the other person.

It is, therefore, a matter of simple sense, since common sense is not common with all persons, yet in times of national exigencies in which we are, calls for the setting up of security surgeries - security committees/fora by the police and all the stakeholders, starting at street, district, ward, constituency and Local Government Council levels for security meetings and surgeries to be held regularly – weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly as may be decided/determined by all the stakeholders – the police (DPOs and Crime Commissioners), legionnaires (ex-service men and women), traditional rulers, the local chiefs, land lords associations, NURTW and the crime commissioners which as I have suggested time and again should be appointed for each Local Government Area.

This sort of security cooperation had been proposed by this writer time and again, and had this advice been heeded, Boko Haram, bandits, herdsmen would not have now commandeered/taken over our forests, forest reserves, hills, valleys, mountains, flood plains, rivers, riverbanks, village streams, swampy/mangrove forests, plateaux, savanna, etc.

In the mean, let us hope that it is not yet too late, but the truth is that the whole of Nigeria is now a footstool for the Fulanis, having so penetrated deep into every artery of the nation, especially lush vegetations areas and fertile lands for agro purposes in their centuries-long quest for territorial expansion, cultural and linguistic imperialism and politico-religious dominance, with Nigeria acting as the headquarters of and for all the Peuls worldwide.

But why are the likes of Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar IV, the reigning Sultan of Sokoto shedding goose tears, complaining that the North is under siege, or he has forgotten the great teacher’s (Mallam Aminu Kano’s) FAMILY COMPACT theory?

Let Sada and Atiku Abubakar face the nation in their respective capacity of the Grand Patron of Miyetti Allah Kataul Hore and some of the financiers of  Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) and tell their compatriots the utmost word of truth regarding those who own the cows being carried about all over the place in and around Nigeria by the hitherto hapless cattle shepherds now turned terrorists, notorious murderers, savage wolves and bestial rapists, armed by their masters, the cow owners who are in fact, in palaces, politicians, state houses, civil service, in the military and the police, the business community and the professions, including the political crooks – the politicians, etc.

Also, can Sada, Murtala Nyako, Atiku Abubakar and other cow owners who tell the nation who has armed the herders with AK-47?

Also, can Sada/other emirs, Muhammadu Buhari, Ango Abdullahi and all the Northern ruling elites/political class, amongst whom are the Fulani/Hausa/Kanuri/Shuwa Arabs Oligarchs/cabals face the Nigerian people and the world and tell them who has kept down across centuries the talakawas, their children who make up the dangerous herders, Boko Haram, the dreaded bandits, abductors/kidnappers, rapists who all like the Biblical roaring lion, prowl about looking for whom to devour?

Isn’t about time that Sad and all his cohort stop this fake tears in national spaces and their abysmal hypocrisy and come clean?

A GLIMPSE INTO THE NETWORK OF CRIMINALS IN NIGERIA

Do Nigerians know the network of criminals - bandits, cattle rustlers, herdsmen and other criminals – the police, the military, para-military personnel, indigenous elements who act as go-betweens, some landlords, traditional rulers, ex-service men/police, politicians, men and women in exalted positions/places?

But when will the combined team of the police and the military raid and fish them out from their palaces, hideouts, shanties, make shift homes, swampy/mangrove, motor parks, exalted places, barracks, highways, farmlands, forests, abandoned buildings, mosques, market places, canals, forests, hills, valleys, etc?

DUMBING DOWN OF PROFESSIONALISM…AGAIN, WHO OWNS THESE COWS AND ARMED THE FULANI/COW SHEPHERDS?

The Philosophy of Fulanism/Fulbeism/Peulism and Cowocracy

The fact that despite all my leads to my colleagues back home, sometimes covert/overt, and most of the times coded to be decoded/unravelled with a view to exposing the cow owners murderers – yes, they who own and have armed the herdsmen are the real murderers and the Fulani herdsmen, they have not been able to uncover and expose the other cow owners who are in high places such as the Presidency, palaces, state houses, the Apex Legislative Assembly, in the military, para-military, the police, civil service, governments, the mosques, the business community and the professions, the politicians, clerics, etc, go to show the pervasive sorry state of journalism in today’s Nigeria, totally lacking in depth and devoid of investigative journalism. Hang on a minute: am I unmindful of the infiltration of the foreigners in the whole saga of crimes in Nigeria? Not at all! And if truth be told, those Nigerians basking in the eurofia (Sani Abacha, for euphoria) of the so-called new Service Chiefs must not forget that they are just new wines in old bottles.

What is more, the security question is deeper than a change of guards at the parade ground, having the SCs shaking hands with a deadwood and ossified General. It is complex, intricate, cobweb-like and like an evil kola nut, it has got so many lobes which must be taken off one after the other and we must not, repeat, we must not lose sight of the politico-religio-econo-cultural dimensionality and the politic of its politics, including such other externalities.

But what should we henceforth aim at? Having a better Nigeria or making Nigeria better? Thus, in clamouring for restructuring, what really are the restructuring Apostles talking about and what do they actually have in mind?

Still, what really do they want?

Do they want a better Nigeria, or they want to make a better Nigeria or want to make Nigeria better?

STOP EATING COWS AND ALL OF THEIR PRODUCTS NOW!

As a drastic problem requires a corresponding drastic solution, Nigerians must again be first made aware that these cows for whose sakes the hired Fulani herders are killing fellow Nigerians are owned by those crooks/thieves up North and their cronies in and around Nigeria, who do often, especially during the obscene weddings of their children and wards give out 20 -100 cows to them and their in-laws to show off their wealth, whilst millions of Nigerians who they have robbed them blind cannot afford a square meal a day!

They yet couldn’t get it when Bill Gate told them the utmost word of truth in one of those obscene weddings held in Nigeria, where over 30 private jets were on parade or on their usual obscene exhibition!

Therefore, in order to put a stop to these incessant killings by the herders who are armed by these cow owners, all Nigerians must henceforth stop consuming cow meats and their associated products such as pomo, kunu (milk), saki, cow legs, cooked cow blood, etc.

GOWON’S GREENING THE NORTH POLICY OF THE 70s AND THE POLITICS OF INDISCRIMINATE/PURPOSELESS GRAZING AND THEIR NATIONAL AFTERMATHS

Fulanism/Peulism/Fulbeism and Wealth Transfer in Nigeria

Grazing on people’s farmland with cattle eating up farmers’ crops is a deliberate agenda to cripple and collapse agricultural activities in the Nokbekwara poligeozone and the South for the thriving of same in the North with a view to using it later as a political tool to sanction the Middle Belt and the South (already happening) and thereafter, be used as a religious weapon to convert people/pagans to Islam or force them to embrace the Arabian religion.

Just imagine – when they intentionally go grazing with their cattle on your farm, their animals much more prized than human lives, eating all your crops, what are they telling you? Just what are they telling you?

“It is scandalous for you “pagans” or to engage in agro activities – all your foods must come from the North; when they take their cattle to schools, colleges and the universities to disrupt academic activities, what message are they sending to you?

“Boko Haram” (Western education is for bidden)

When they carry their cattle to the police station to ‘graze’, what are they saying to you?

“Walahi ba police, but Hisbah!”

When they take their cattle to the stadia to ‘graze’, what information are they passing across to you?

“O you pagans, sport is paganism.”

When they go ‘grazing’ with their cattle in your markets, what do you understand by this?

“No other market (kasuwa), but zango and Ruga!”

And when they go ‘grazing’ at Ojaja’s palace, what does this foreshadow?

“Ba Aduduwa (Oduduwa), sai Uthman Dan Fuduye and in just a matter of a season, this place (Ile-Ife) like Ilorin shall be converted to an emirate and an emir, not Ani (Oni) be installed kpamamently!”

And when next they proceed to Benin and invade Ewuare the Great’s palace, what is the message?

“We are here to inaugurate the coming emirate!”

And moving to the palace of the Obong of Calabar to ‘graze’?

Not funny man! They will not be there for edika ikong nor to announce Bakassi will be returned to the Obong whilst Adamawa is ceded to Cameroon nor inform the monarch the Ambazonians have agreed to become his subjects, and subsequently citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, but to deep the Koran in the ocean and thereafter install an emir in fulfilment of arrogant Bello’s prophecy!

And when they go ‘grazing’ at the palace of the former boxer turned king, what can you decipher/decode?

Answer: “The land here belongs to our ancestors – Salih Janta (Alimi) who had claimed it for the sultanate.

And they won’t even be in Warri for banga soup nor starch food, but for the self-same purpose of establishing an emirate to displace the Olu of Warri!

Cows are not fools as many Nigerians might have supposed, but nevertheless, they still have their No.6 intact to steer clear of the lagoon and head straight to Iga Idunganran, not to snatch the staff of office of the Eleko of Eko , but to let Kabiyesi know that assuredly of a truth, an emir from Gida Usuman Dan Fuduye will henceforth replace him.

A word ought therefore, to be enough for the wise – and if a drastic challenge indeed, does call for a drastic solution, NOW IS THE TIME FOR ALL NIGERIANS TO STOP EATING COW MEATS AND ALL OF THEIR ASSOCIATED PRODUCTS, INCLUDING POMO (show boy) and DAIRY!

What is more, it is now high time all Nigerians rose up as one people to demand the identities of the cow owners who indeed, are the real murderers, having armed the herders to steal, kill, maim, destroy, rape and dispossess.

It may be too late especially for the Tor Tiv, but all Nigerians must bear in mind that even a DEAD Amotekun might be able to chase after pant thieves, so the messiah of Ibarapa can rise from the motor park.

But is it indeed part of grazing to rape women – middle-aged, the elderly and under-aged girls of other ethnic nationalities?

No! But it is part of the Islamification agenda to dilute their population and alter the DNA of every Nigerian to be born henceforth to that of the Fulanis or having more of the Fulani DNA as the example of Ilorin across centuries now.

INTERLUDE: FLORAL AND GARLANDS FOR EUCHARIA OGEYI ADUMA

Psalm 49

10 For all can see that the wise die,
that the foolish and the senseless also perish,
    leaving their wealth to others.
11 Their tombs will remain their houses[
b] forever,
    their dwellings for endless generations,
    though they had[
c] named lands after themselves.

12 People, despite their wealth, do not endure;
they are like the beasts that perish.

13 This is the fate of those who trust in themselves,
and of their followers, who approve their sayings.[
d]
14 They are like sheep and are destined to die;
    death will be their shepherd
(but the upright will prevail over them in the morning).
Their forms will decay in the grave,
    far from their princely mansions.
15 But God will redeem me from the realm of the dead;
he will surely take me to himself.

This treatise is dedicated to my later elder sister Mrs EUCHARIA OGEYI OJEKA AJIMA, (Nee Aduma) who just relocated to her Father’s House, where there are many mansions on the 27th of December 2020 after a Thanksgiving and a Holy Communion Service at Christ the King’s Catholic Church, Okpoma in Yala Local Government Area of Cross River State of Nigeria without any form of ailment WHATSOEVER, but hale and hearty.

His Excellency, Governor Ben Ayade, other State Governors, the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) and indeed, the Federal Government of Nigeria must henceforth ensure every LGA in Nigeria must have at least, a medical doctor who must certify a person dead, carry out an autopsy on the dead before they are taken to the private mortuaries which are usually very ill-equipped like the one at Okpudu, where to my sister was hurriedly taken without having first been certified dead by a medical doctor nor any autopsy whatsoever carried out on her to decide the cause/s of her very, very untimely and very, very sudden death!

And I dare invite His Excellency, Professor Ben Ayade, the Executive Governor of the State to as a matter of utmost urgency send Health Inspectors to all the so-called private mortuaries in the State, particularly the very stinking private mortuary at Okpudu, where upon investigation, I have learnt is very ill-equipped and very, very unhygienic with some dead bodies stacked upon one another, some left on bare smelly and an unkempt floor, whilst other corpses were merely leant against the wall of the very, very ill-equipped private mortuary which a pigsty is better than its morgue.

With tears in my eyes and a great sorrow in my heart, I would as a matter of honour to my beloved sister call on the Apex Legislative Assembly, all state houses of assembly and the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to legislate and decree that there be at least a resident medical doctor in every private mortuary whose job will be to certify a person dead with a certificate and an autopsy carry out on the dead before embalmment and subsequent admittance and deposit in a morgue at such a private mortuary like the OKPUDU one in Okpoma, Yala, in addition to having health or mortuary inspectors who will daily visit such mortuaries inspecting its overall conditions and those of the corpses so deposited. I did speak with my late sister on the 23rd of December, 2020 from about 23.30 UK time to early morning of the 24th and then about 23. 30 UK time of the 24th December through early December 25th, only to learn that she passed onto to glory on the 27th of December, returning to her new house after the Thanksgiving Service. She was believed to have slumped down whilst eating or about to eat rice and probably went into a coma but was hurriedly and ignorantly rushed to the mortuary without any medical attention/examination whatsoever, nor was her Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Michael Asin nor our monarch, His Royal Highness Eje Ipuole nor the Local Government Chairman contacted.

HYPOTHESES ABOUT EUCHARIA’S SUDDEN DEATH

As a senior community nurse and midwife who used to work night shifts, she must have collapse out of exhaustion, especially have been said to have danced and danced out of unparalleled joy during the Thanksgiving by all whom I had interrogated. Thus as my hypotheses, although I am not a medical doctor/expert, I would here conjecture she had collapsed and gone into a coma due to exhaustion arising from her nature of work doing night shifts or sudden heart attack, even though she never confided in me about any such ailments during my last discussion with her as I have adumbrated above.

My other hypothesis regarding her very sudden death could be that the rice was too peppery and she might have gotten choked up whilst consuming the rice she had cooked by herself as I learnt – or could it also be food poisoning?

Oga Ben, my sister done go, but how can we help we people prevent this type of seemingly avoidable death if there was a community doctor within reach?

But see what bonanza goes into our Senators’ bank accounts as revealed by Oga Shehu Sani who during an interview with TheNews hala say him and his Distinguished colleagues dey receive N13.5 million monthly as “running cost”, besides a N700,000 monthly consolidated salary and allowances which dem also dey receive nyafu-nyafu!

All those Senators/Legislators defrauding their constituents of the yearly development/project grants/allowances to their constituents must read this and hang their heads in shame.

Methinks, a comprehensive community health centre built by elected representatives, amongst other community development projects won’t be a bad idea-shah…according to Mama Osakwe: THERE’S GOD-O!

In recent years, senators from Yala Local Government Area that have represented Ogoja (Cross River North) Senatorial District are Drs Rose Oko (late), Paul Ukpo (late), Chief Greg Ngaji and currently Dr Stephen Odey.

It should therefore be my patriotic suggestion that every LGA should have between 5-8 comprehensive hospitals, 5-10 health centres or community hospitals or clinics, and every ward should have at least 8 GP surgeries for emergency and regular check-ups and consultations. Also, every private mortuary/morgue must be built to international specifications/standards and best practice, in addition to having health and sanitary inspectors (Ogbatete – Yala, for sanitary inspectors to inspect them regularly.

Oga Ben, please let us take care of our people.

What’s more, you and Goddy Jeddy Agba, my good friend and the current Minister of State, Power are home boys.

Therefore, both of you should not go to places like Ebo-Ipuole and Woleche-Ebo, where I grew up only when you need their votes. Roads to these communities in Yala LGA are impassable, and Woleche-Ebo, particularly, do not have electricity and passable roads in this day and age – in the 21st century!

THE FRAGILITY AND TRANSITORINESS OF LIFE

“…That thou doest, do quickly.”

  • John 13:27.

What can life be compared with, except like an egg which when held tightly it breaks and if held loosely it falls to the ground and breaks. This life, therefore, is egg and egg is life.

Life is too short, therefore, do what you want to do or rather what you are here to do quickly.

Through my sister’s death, I have turned my back totally to the world, not in resignation and pessimism or hopelessness about life, but the suddenness of her death, having jolted me up, I have decided not to waste a moment of the number of days I have left any more, in order to concentrate and finish the unfinished task and return quickly to my Father’s house, where beautiful, there are many mansions.

ARE YOU TOO GRIEVING THE LOSS OF A LOVED ONE RIGHT NOW?

Let me assure you from the onset that I feel your pain from the mountain top, from the hills, valleys, and rooftop. Beloved, please take solace in the fact that He comes quickly. Above all else, what is more reassuring than the fact that you are not alone at this time and more, (with) the realization that in your father’s house, are many mansions and it is exactly as He has told you.

And don’t forget, death is not a punishment, but the royal route path that leads to your father’s house where many mansions there are, a non-finite and an inevitable, nay, a must translation for all of the peoples of the earth and a democracy for all.

THIS PAIN IS PART OF LIFE

Of a truth, this pain is part of life and that voice from the excellent glory, sings to the cherishment and the upliftment of my soul and your soul:

ki da ra ga ma so (2ice);

Ki da ra, ki da ra ga ma so-o-o-o-o-o!

This was the heavenly music of comfort given to me by the Highest Heaven when I lost my immediate younger sister, COMFORT AGBO ADUMA in 1999 about the same period as EUCHARIA.

And if like me, you are currently grieving over the translation to glory of (a) loved one/s, these are the songs with which God has been comforting me since the 27th of December 2020:

  • Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness…
  • Immanuel…. Immanuel, your name is Lord…
  • Soon and Very soon…
  • Jesus is the rock in a weary land…
  • When the roll is called up yonder…
  • All must be well…
  • Now the day is over…
  • Days and Morning, quickly flying…
  • Jerusalem, my happy home…
  • One glorious morning…

At a time like this, what ought to be the right word to say to the bereaved? No one knoweth, save as the heaven giveth.

Again, if you are grieving right now as I am, it is my honest invitation to you thus: let us comfort one another at this time with the eternal word of the Shunammite woman: ALL IS WELL.

And if these questions are coursing through your mind right now: why her? Why him? Why them? Why me?

I’d like to leave you with the immortal word of my friend, Pastor Chijioke Odom: WHAT WE CANNOT NOW UNDERSTAND SHALL BE REVEALED TO US WHEN WE GET TO HEAVEN.

Pastor Odom had come to my office at Nigerian Foundries Limited, Ilupeju in Lagos to condole with me in year 2000 on the transition to glory of my immediate younger sister, COMFORT AGBO ADUMA, but it happened that I was out on an official assignment in my capacity then as Executive Secretary, Foundry Association of Nigeria and on leaving, he left me his condolence message which was just a sentence as boldened above.

And ever since, I have been carrying that condolence message of his which has taught me to leave the many mysteries and puzzles of life to the Lord who on the day of my call to glory would be revealed to me as according to Odom’s gospel.

What is more, ever since I have been using this gospel of his to minister to an uncountable number of the bereaved, both within the fold and outside of it with the same measure of efficacious ministration from which I had derived in January of 2000 after reading it!

Again, if you too are grieving as I am at the moment, I say to you today: take heart, cry/weep no more, for the reason why you are alive this season is that you are just waiting to die the next season. It is written: You shall die this season or the next – next second, minute, day, week, and year…

AND YOU WILL SEE THEM AGAIN…AND THEY TOO WILL SEE YOU AGAIN

“And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.”

  • Luke 16:26.

The beauty of it all is that you shall see all your loved ones again on the same estate yonder, and if you find yourself where the great gulf is fixed between you and them, you shall sure still see them or have a glimpse of them on the side yonder (Luke 16:26).

Yes, you will see him, her and them again; and they too will see you again – and WE WILL ALL SEE EACH OTHER AGAIN – some time, some day!

WHEN EVERY PERSON SHALL BE UNTIED FROM THE EARTH AND THE DEMOCRACY IN DEATH

“If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ you shall say this: ‘The Lord has need of it.’”

  • Luke 19:31.
  • John: 14 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God[a]; believe also in me.My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.”

Death therefore, is not a tyrant nor a dictator nor a nepotist but a committed and dedicated democrat. In the Yala cosmos, when a person dies, it sometimes said their services are needed by the ancestors – their fathers or mothers who died long ago needed them to come and help fetch water or cook for them or they are needed by their loved ones that had gone before them for companionship because they are lonely yonder.

It must here be said that it is not always about companionship with the ancestors and services yonder to them, but it could be that in a particular home call, the ancestors are angry because they were neglected by those they had left behind, so such a home call could be to punish them for such negligence and incorrigibility.

And it does look like those ancestors who keep moaning about one thing or another very incessantly are the very ones who were non-achievers and like Unoka in Achebe’s Things Fall Apart were complete failures (egboda – Yala, for none entities) in the here.

Through the seers (alomu or alomu omo ma or ache omuomu or aleba or alija – Yala, for seers/prophets/medicine people) it look their eyes are wide open to monitor every move/activity and conversation of their relations they had left behind.

They keep moaning and moaning about their loved ones not giving them food, not consulting them over one thing or another before embarking on such ventures/activities/events such as the type of person to marry, not killing bulls/ox to complete their burial ceremony, not greeting them every morning, abandoning them to hunger, not giving them palm wine and brukutu (emuo, yeje – Yala for palm wine or wine generally) – and sometimes you would wish that rather than becoming so greedy and too, too demanding from yonder, isn’t it better for them to have come back to the here, especially if they find yonder or the here-after very uncomfortable? More so, as they always give the impression of eternal famine worse than the Biblical one.

Also, this monkey tricks actually come from the greedy seers who would name sacrifices to perform in order to avert the imminent danger from the great beyond whose costs are usually in fortunes, and at times more than the cost of one-hundred rich men’s burials.

Such tricks from the seers could come in form of asking the relations to go and deposit a giant ram with convoluted horns at a junction or where two roads intersects (ohrepa – Yala, for a junction or intersections), and when you wake up in the morning, that ram has disappeared to denote the efficacy/effectiveness of the sacrifice/s, meaning the ancestors have accepted the sacrifice/s – and in just a matter of moment, when someone merely hit their toes against a stone, sneezes constantly or has a mere headache, the seers would interpret these to mean a reminder from the self-same ancestors for another round of sacrifices!

COME AND LET US COMFORT ONE ANOTHER AT THIS TIME OF THE FOURTH WORLD WAR – CHINA’S WAR WITH THE WHOLE WORLD

Or you don’t know China is currently warring with the world or you like the world don’t seem to know about this?

As I have already published something on this and still has volumes of work soon to be published, I would like to be brief and not divert attention from what I am about:

And so, from the mountain top, I say to you today: all is well; from the hilltop, I say to you today: all is well; from the valley, on the sea, ocean current, whilst you are buffeting against the current of life’s Atlantic, I say to you today: all is well.

Hark! Hark! Hark!

But as children of God, what if as the Lord needed the idle colt, their services are indeed needed by the Lord?

What if the Father has need of Eucharia (her)?

What if the Father has need of him?

What if the Father has need of them?

What if the Father has need of you, yes, even you – right now, today, tomorrow, this week, next week, next month, next year, next season?

And what if the Father has need of this writer right now?

Again, my pertinent question, therefore, at this time of my grieving and your grieving will be to ask: what if the Lord has need of her, him, them?

“O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?”

  • 1 Corinthians 15:55.

Then, “Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.” Psalms 43:5….

LIFE’S PRIMAL CERTAINTY AND INEVITABILITY: A LETTER TO ALL NOLLYWOOD WORMS, VULTURES AND MAGGOTS…A RUBBISH GANG THAT HAVE POLLUTED, CONTAMINATED AND CORRUPTED THE NATION AND GENERATIONS WITH THEIR AMORALITY, LASCIVIOUSNESS, DEBAUCHERY AND 24/7 FLESH EXPOS AND UNBRIDLED OSTENTATIOUS AND AN UNPARALLELED ABYSMAL LIFESTYLES

…More, I can assure you that what is certain about this life is that about this time now; about this time today; about this time tomorrow; about this time this week; about this time next week, next season, you and I are next!

So, stop thy pollution of the nation and thy troubling and nauseating flesh exhibitions everywhere, including the social media – and do what you want to do quickly!

Again, Death, where exactly is your sting?

But why are many falling these days in Nigeria like oranges and mangoes?

Carest they not or pre-occupied they are with RUGA-governance – territorial expansion and cultural and linguistic imperialism?

Enter, Martin Luther King Jr (looking very pensive, whilst giving his words of comfort to the bereaved worldwide at this time):

“May I now say a word to you, the members of the bereaved families? It is almost impossible to say anything that can console you at this difficult hour and remove the deep clouds of disappointment which are floating in your mental skies. But I hope you can find a little consolation from the universality of this experience. Death comes to every individual. There is an amazing democracy about death. It is not aristocracy for some of the people, but a democracy for all of the people. Kings die and beggars die; rich men and poor men die; old people die and young people die. Death comes to the innocent and it comes to the guilty. Death is the irreducible common denominator of all men.

I hope you can find some consolation from Christianity's affirmation that death is not the end. Death is not a period that ends the great sentence of life, but a comma that punctuates it to more lofty significance. Death is not a blind alley that leads the human race into a state of nothingness, but an open door which leads man into life eternal. Let this daring faith, this great invincible surmise, be your sustaining power during these trying days.

My everlasting GOOD NIGHT TO YOU, O EUCHARIA as you wake up on the other side of the great fixed gulf, never weeping any more, but henceforth, to be rejoicing eternally in thy Father’s bosom.”

ONWARD TO THE UNFINISHED TASK: A LETTER TO ALL THE LIVING

Hitherto I was relaxed, but I’m now jolted up to do that that I’m about quickly, for the departing time may not be far off.

And I dare say, Eucharia baby, I’m getting better now as it wasn’t easy at all for me when I first received the sad news of your very sudden death; Beloved Ogeyi, trust me when I say I’m fine now – and Lord ‘lmighty knows I is fine now.

I’m is better now;

I’m am is better today;

Lord ‘lmighty, I’m is better now;

Therefore, do not worry about me anymore,

I’ll be fine and please do rest assured

that John, Peter and Mercy

and all you have left behind will be fine.

Until we soon meet to part no more,

Rest, sweet sister –

Once again, good night and may the good Lord be with you.

And all of us who are still here.

Amen and amen!

AN INVITATION TO PONDER ON YOUR LIFE’S VOYAGE AND PILGRIMAGE

  • What is the purpose of life?
  • What exactly is life’s purpose?
  • Why are you here?
  • Why are we here?
  • What’s your life’s mission?
  • What is the purpose of your life?
  • What is the worth of your life?
  • What is your worth?
  • What are your worth?
  • Are you just here to live, feast, wine, then die and go back? (Hello, Nollywood actors and actresses).

But if life is all about a coming and going in the manner of an ogbanje (Yala, for a child who dies, goes and returns in a seeming endless circle), then why do we need bother to come at all?
